Empire Building - Loan Shark

Published by Psy
Last Updated

Increase your loan shark business reputation by repossessing vehicles in GTA Vice City Stories.

To start loan shark 'Repossession' jobs, you'll need to acquire a loan shark business during your Empire Building. Head inside and interact with a gang member marked with a blue arrow to start the missions.

For Loan Shark missions, your job will be to reposess 15 vehicles. Each repo job will alternate between acquiring a Boxville removal van full of TV's and recovering a PCJ-600 motorbike.

The time will count down, so you'll need to be reasonably quick, but you'll receive time bonuses after completing each repo job. You'll also be told not to destroy the cargo, but that shouldn't be much of a problem.

Both of the repo objectives are quite simple, just grab a vehicle and head to the blue blip on the radar which indicates the vehicle you need to repossess. They'll usually spawn within a block or two from your business so you shouldn't have to go far. If you get really lucky, they'll end up driving right past the business building itself. The vehicles are always moving, so you'll need to chase after them.

Van Repossession

To stop the van, you simply need to fire one bullet into it from a drive-by and the driver and passengers will get out and flee.

Get into the vehicle and you'll be told to take it back to the depot.

Once you arrive, simply drive it into the pink marker to deliver it.

You'll receive a cash reward each time you deliver a vehicle.

Motorbike Repossession

For the motorbike, you can either knock them off with your car, or shoot the driver - on foot or with a drive-by.

Then you'll need to pick up the bike and get on.

Take it to the depot and drive into the pink marker to deliver it.

Occasionally the biker will have a passenger on the back who you might need to remove too.

The bike repossessions are more likely to cause a wanted level, so if you have spare time, you should head to the Pay 'n' Spray to have it removed as the police presence will certainly slow down your repossession ambitions.

Bonuses & Rewards

You'll receive a $250 bonus for completing 3 repo jobs in a row.

Once you've completed 15 repo jobs, your Loan Shark reputation will hit the max level of "Crim-Reaper" and your Loan Shark businesses will bring in 3x more profit than the base level business. The mission won't automatically end after 15 jobs, you can keep going to earn cash, but you might want to manually quit out of the mission at this point. You'll be told that the missions will continue from your last level, so they don't all need to be done in a single sitting.
