A Date With Death

Cutscene

Toni enters Toshiko's apartment to find it empty. After asking if anyone is home, she speaks out and asks for a moment. She explains her husband is furious and wonders how Toni knows when and where to attack him so precisely. His men gossip and they'll work it out eventually, so Toshiko wants to give them something to really talk about. She then appears dressed in her finest ball gown and wants Toni to take her to the opera.

Outside, Toshiko tells Toni to bring her car around so they can collect his tuxedo.

Driving Toshiko

Once on foot, you'll be told to bring Toshiko's car round. It's parked behind her building so run around and get into the Stretch limo. You'll be informed the opera begins around 3 in-game hours (3 real minutes) after starting the mission, so there's no time to waste.

Drive around to the front of the building and stop near Toshiko so she can get into the car.

Once she's inside, you'll be instructed to get a change of outfit. A clothes icon is marked on the map a few blocks away, so make your way there and park next to the yellow marker when you arrive, exit the vehicle and head inside.

Cutscene

Toni walks back out of the clothes shop suited and booted in a nice white tuxedo.

You'll once again be instructed to get into the car, so climb into the driver's seat and make your way to the Opera which is in Fort Staunton towards the North of Staunton Island. Pull into the yellow marker as you arrive. Ensure you arrive before it starts. The game will tell you what time you need to be there at the start of the mission, but there's no countdown timer on the screen.

Cutscene

A cutscene shows Toni and Toshiko head inside the opera house, but they're spotted by a Forelli car across the street. Two Forelli goons are overheard saying "Italian blood don't mix with no Japan blood... But it'll mix just fine on the sidewalk!" as a third goon stands on top of the limo, bashing the car to bits with a baseball bat.

Toni appears back outside on-foot and is instructed to protect Toshiko and kill the Forelli gangsters. All of them are right in front of you, so blast the two closest, and two more who are taking cover behind the parked car. You can blow the car up but you'll probably be caught in the blast radius and lose some health or armor.

Once they're all dead, you need to escape in Toshiko's car, so run over to the nearby limo and wait for her to get in, then floor it back to her apartment.

A number of Forelli cars give chase and smash into the limo, but you can just ignore them for the most part. Once you're past them you should have a clear run to the apartment but you can always call in to the Pay 'n' Spray on the way past the multistory car park if you need to clear a wanted level or repair the car. Respraying the car won't throw the chasing Forellis off the scent though, so you can either take them all out or just drive back to the apartment while avoiding them as best you can.

Cutscene

As Toni and Toshiko exit the vehicle and head inside, a passing Yakuza car spots them before driving off.

Mission Passed!

Immediately after the mission you'll receive an in-game message informing Toni The Tuxedo is now available from the safehouse.
