Cutscene

Jonnie	You know anything about politics, Mike? I hope you're still undeclared because I've got a situation. This senator wants to ban smoking in restaurants and bars and he just about has the votes to do it. I don't have to tell you it'd be bad for business, do I? Why don't you see if you can persuade the senator to change his mind.
Mike	Why don't you start a petition to remove him instead?
Jonnie	I don't have the time or the patience. Get moving before he makes it home.

Once outside, you need to persuade the senator before he makes it home, which means there's 2 minutes on the clock. He's located East of your current position, so make your way across town as quickly as possible.

When you arrive, you'll see he's in a limo with a police convoy.

Smash into the limo and you'll start to damage it. As soon as you do though, the cops will be after you.

Cutscene

Senator	Damn it, sergeant! I'm not in bed with the special interest groups! Hmm... is someone tailing us?

You need to keep damaging the vehicle until it's smoking enough to cause the senator to exit. On one of my playthroughs, I was lucky enough to flip the limo over after 2 or 3 hits, which blew it up, but the senator got out and was fine. He then tells the cops to arrest you, so you'll need to kill a few of them.

Cutscene

Senator	What is the meaning of this? Who are you?
Mike	Let's just say I'm a concerned citizen who wants to protect his right to smoke.
Senator	I'll not be intimidated! Sergeant, arrest this man!

Mike will then receive a pager message from Jonnie, telling him to intimidate the senator, but not kill him.

Chase after him on foot and punch him or hit him with a bat a few times until he's had enough. After that he'll tell you he wont bring in the smoking ban.

Cutscene

Senator	Enough! What do you want?
Mike	It's simple really. Just make sure your anti-smoking bill isn't put to a vote... ever.
Senator	Done. Now get the hell out of here.

Mike will receive another pager message from Jonnie telling him to lose the police before coming back.

You now need to lose a 3 or 4 star wanted level, so either use your hideout if you have police bribes from Vigilante missions, or head to the Pay 'n' Spray.

Once you're clear of the cops, head back to the bar to meet Jonnie.

Cutscene

Jonnie	Excellent work, Mike. I'll still have to keep my eyes on the senator; he showed he's got some spirit. You've got to respect a polititian who can keep his pants on.

Mission Passed!

Jonnie will send another pager message after the mission telling Mike to come back to the bar because he wants to track someone down.
