Assault Joint

Asuka tells Mike she needs his help to take out King Courtney, and she'll give him some men to assist.

Cutscene
Asuka Mike-san, it's good to see you. You've made quite a few enemies since last we met and there's one in particular I'd like to help you with. King Courtney is pushing his gang into my area and I want him eliminated. I'm prepared to assist you.
Mike I need to know where King Courtney is hiding out and how many men he has.
Asuka He's in a walled compound northwest of here off the highway. A frontal assault would be suicide but my sources say there may be another way in. I'll send a few men to assist you in the assault.
Mike You're not doing this because you love me, are you?
Asuka My dear Mike-san, what happens between the sheets and in the real world are two different matters. In both cases, you are a means to an end. Goodbye, Mike-san.
Mike Life's been no bed of roses for me but I thought we had something special. I was just a fool though... This really is goodbye. Sayonara, Asuka.

Asuka drives away in her blue Yakuza car.

Almost immediately, Mike is ambushed by a large group of Mafia gangsters.

Cutscene
Mike Damn, the Mafia finally caught up to me! Looks like Asuka got out of here just in time... I'll take care of these guys and then deal with King Courtney.

You'll take a bit of a beating given the enemies spawn right on top of you, so sprint away as quickly as you can then turn around and use the strafe functionality to aim back towards the Mafia goons as they chase you and fire back.

They're not particularly well armored so a shotgun can clean them out pretty efficiently.

Once they're all dead, Mike has a few thoughts.

Cutscene
Mike Damn, that ambush seemed to be too much of a coincidence for Asuka to not know about it. I better not turn my back on her men if they show up.

You now need to make your way to the compound at the very North of the island. Feel free to stop off at your hideout or Ammu-Nation for some health, armor and ammo on the way. When you arrive, walk into the blue circle.

A bunch of Yakuza cars will roll up, and out get a number of gangsters who approach Mike.

Cutscene
Yakuza Asuka sent us to help you out, Mike-san. We'll give you a few seconds to get into position and then we'll attack from the front entrance.
Mike Sounds like suicide to me but I welcome the company if we're all going to hell. Good luck.

You'll now have 10 seconds to get into position. It's not really long enough to do anything useful, but I recommend sprinting past the enemies on the path leading to the compound and make your way to the West side of the main wall.

You probably won't reach the gate over there, but when the time runs out, the Yakuza soldiers will open fire on the Yardies at the front of the compound.

You'll need to head to the West end of the compound and jump over the barrier by pressing A + B together. You should end up inside right near King Courtney who is marked with a blue arrow above his head, so approach him and a cutscene will start.

Cutscene
King Courtney Hey mon! You're doing me a great injustice. You come blazing in here without any reason.
Mike King, I'm not here to listen to any of your lies. I know you've sent men to kill me. Now the tables are turned and you're going out in a body bag.
King Courtney You think me craven, mon? No matter. I'm going to ease your stress for good!

You'll now be attacked by about 8 Yardies and King Courtney himself. A damage meter appears on the screen showing how much health King Courtney has left, but don't waste too much ammo on him because he's invincible until you've killed all of his body guards.

You can get his health right down, but shooting him after that won't do anything until everyone else is dead.

While you're running around the compound, it's worth noting there are two body armor pickups, one in each of the Southern corners.

If you jump back outside, there's a health pickup just West of the main entrance.

Once you kill King Courtney's last body guard and get his health down, there's a conversation.

Cutscene
King Courtney I'm sending you to the other side, mon.
Mike We'll see about that, King. Time to bring out the big guns.

Another full wave of Yardies will appear now, and King Courtney's health is full again. If you have a flamethrower, I strongly recommend you whip it out. It's incredibly powerful and can take out a lot of enemies at once while also protecting you.

Fire away and actually go on the assault. Rather than backing off to shoot, push forward towards the enemies, moving up and down as you strafe-fire the flames. You'll be able to take out all of them in a matter of seconds, including getting King Courtney's health back down again which leads to another cutscene.

Cutscene
King Courtney Tribulation! You're a nasty one! Stay still and let me shoot you!
Mike Keep your thugs coming, King. They're no match for me.

King Courtney sends out a final wave of enemies. You can use the same tactic as previously and toast them with the flamethrower. Lock your aim with the strafe functionality by holding R as you move around and burn away all of the Yardies.

Cutscene
King Courtney It's time, mon. Prepare to meet your maker.
Mike I'm putting you down for good.

This time you're up against King Courtney on his own with a 60 second time limit, but he's equipped with a rocket launcher!

Run around in circles and avoid his missiles, then try to get close and toast him like a marshmallow with the flamethrower. It won't take long to get his health down again. Strafe left and right to avoid any missiles he might fire while you're cooking him.

Cutscene
King Courtney Stay, Mike, stay! I'm all stressed out and there's no fight left in me. You're the victor, mon.
Mike Damn, it's finally over. I can get out of this city with the money I have left and never look back. There's nothing but bitter memories here.
Info
Obviously we couldn't actually kill King Courtney because he's a character in GTA 3, which is set after the events of this game. Still, you've done a great job at securing Mike's freedom!
