O, Brothel, Where Art Thou?
Marty sends Vic out to take over a brothel business with his new Stubby Shotgun.
Outside Marty's trailer, he says "it's time to diversify my interests Vince". "Vic" he's told is his name. "Whatever... We're going into the whoring business. We're gonna take over place up yonder. Once we're in, it's party time... Yessiree boy! I just got me an itch I need scratching.".
Marty continues "shame you're queer boy, I might have tossed you a bone...".
Vic replies thanks, but he doesn't need Marty tossing his bone. "Just get up there and clean the damn place out... Vince".
Once on foot, you'll be told to head over to Stonewall J's, marked by a light blue blip on the radar.
Grab Marty's truck and make your way there. It's just up the road to the North.
When you arrive, the game will explain you can walk into the large blue arrows to enter and exit buildings, although you should probably know this by now anyway.
Get out of the car and head into the building.
Once inside, you'll realise Stonewall J's is a weapon shop, similar to Ammu-Nation. You'll be told to stand in the pink marker to look at weapons for sale.
A menu of-sorts will appear allowing you to browse the weapons on the wall. The first one we see is a stubby shotgun. The game informs us that Marty has arranged it for you so it's free, all you need to do is click on it. Usually it costs $1200 but the first one is free. If you want more ammo, you can buy it, but it's rather expensive at this point in the game. If you've completed Phil's Shooting Range, you'll receive a 25% discount on all weapons and ammo from both Ammu-Nation and Stonewall J's.
Browsing the other weapons you'll see:
- Butterfly Knife for $10 or $7 (with shooting range discount)
- Machete for $100 or $75 (with shooting range discount)
- Pistol for $240 orĀ $180 (with shooting range discount)
- Scorpion for $360 or $270 (with shooting range discount)
- Stubby Shotgun for $1200 or $900 (with shooting range discount)
Exit the menu and you'll be told to go to the brothel, which is marked with a pink blip on the radar. Walk into the blue marker to leave the gun shop.
Outside, get back in your vehicle and make your way to the brothel which is North of your position. As you set off, the game will tell you to follow the Flag blip on the radar to find Stonewall J's again.
Continue North into Little Haiti and you'll find the brothel next to a large yellow building that would become Kaufman Cabs in GTA Vice City.
Pull into the pink marker out front when you arrive.
After the introduction, exit your vehicle as you're told to destroy the gang car, which is marked with a red blip on the radar and a red arrow above it.
Head around the building and use weapons to blow up the car. You might still have grenades from a previous mission for Marty, otherwise use your shiny new shotgun.
Once the vehicle goes boom, a number of enemies will appear and attack as you're told to "take out the defending gang members". Each of them is marked with a red arrow and a red blip on the radar.
There's around 5-10 of them in total but they're no match for your Stubby Shotgun. Each should go down in a single shot, and it's possible to hit multiple enemies at once saving some ammo.
Once they're all dead, you're told to enter the business premises, marked with a light blue blip on the radar. Walk into the blue arrow at the door to head inside.
Inside, there'll be an enemy right in front of you and you're told to "waste the remaining business assets and gang members". The gang members are marked with red arrows and red blips, the business assets are green.
Blast the first - and only - enemy away, then you're told to trash the remaining business assets.
Head into the bedroom and destroy the bed with your weapon. A bat works well if you want to save ammo.
The camera moves outside and shows the business building, explaining "after you have successfully attacked a rival's site, it will become available for purchase".
A for sale sign is then shown and the game explains "you can buy sites by standing near the 'For Sale' sign and using the relevant button". On PSP it's D-Pad Up, on PS2 it's the R3 button.
You're told Marty's buying this one.
Mission Passed!
After the mission, this business site is marked on the radar with a purple building icon, indicating it's owned by Marty.
- Reward: $700
- Mission Unlocked: Got Protection?
Vic heads out to save Marty's prostitutes from the angry Cholos.
- Stonewall J's is now open and available for Vic to purchase weapons and ammo.
