Firefighter
Grab a Firetruck and work through 15 Levels of squirting, to make Vic Vance fireproof in GTA Vice City Stories.
To start the Firefighter missions, you'll need to climb into a Firetruck and press the D-Pad Up button. Firetrucks will permanently spawn outside the fire department on each island, or you can use Molotovs or the Flamethrower and set people and vehicles on fire to cause one to arrive.
The objective of the Firefighter missions is to drive across the city to burning vehicles and use the hose to squirt water and put the fires out. Each level will add more fires to put out. The first level will require 1 fire (a burning vehicle), whereas levels 2-5 will require a burning vehicle, then multiple pedestrians who will get out of the car and run around on fire. Later levels introduce more vehicles with more pedestrians, however all of the vehicles are stationary meaning you don't have to chase them around like in some other GTA games.
The mission up to and including Level 15 should take around 15-45 minutes to complete. Much like the Vigilante and Paramedic missions in Vice City Stories, a helpful checkpoint system has been added to the Firefighter missions. After every 5th Level you complete, a checkpoint will be set so you will restart the mission from there if you fail or quit.
Time Limits & Rules
The time will constantly count down, and the time you're given is based on the distance, so you need to speed across town and get to the fires as quickly as possible. Once all fires are extinguished, you'll receive a time boost and another vehicle will spawn elsewhere. The time limits are quite tight, particularly on later levels when multiple flaming pedestrians will run around in all directions, so you definitely want to get to each location as quickly as possible to avoid running out of time and failing.
Unlike other games in the series, Vic is allowed to exit the Firetruck without automatically failing the mission, although you'll need to get back into one within 30 seconds or the mission will end. While this functionality was probably intended to allow you time to switch to a new Firetruck if yours becomes too damaged, it can actually be used to perform an exploit / glitch which makes the Firefighter missions a piece of cake.
You'll also fail the mission if you are Wasted, Busted, a burning vehicle is destroyed or a burning pedestrian is killed.

Tips
The Firetruck has decent speed and handling, and it's extremely heavy so you can smash into almost any other vehicle on the road and knock them out of the way - just be careful not to hit police cars because you can do without the wanted level. Also, be very careful not to crash into the burning vehicles.
The first few levels are easy, but once you start having to put out burning pedestrians, the difficulty really ramps up because they run around like maniacs and you end up having to chase them around to try and put them out.
Firefighter Exploit - Auto-Complete Levels
Thanks to the ability to exit the Firetruck without failing the mission, it's possible to glitch the game into automatically completing a level. To do this, you simply need to exit the Firetruck and run into Ammu-Nation.
How To Do The Firefighter Exploit
Grab a Firetruck, there's one parked just down the street from the Downtown Police Station, then make your way North to the Downtown Ammu-Nation. Why Ammu-Nation? Because it's one of the only shops which stays open while you're on a mission.
Once outside Ammu-Nation, press D-Pad Up to start the mission.
Once a burning vehicle is marked on the map and your timer starts counting down, exit the Firetruck and run into the blue arrow to enter Ammu-Nation. As you spawn inside the store, you'll see a time bonus appear on the screen so you'll know the glitch is working.
Run back outside, using the blue arrow inside the shop and climb back into the Firetruck.
As soon as you get in, the current level will be automatically completed!
You'll need to wait inside the Firetruck for a few seconds while a new burning vehicle is created. I recommend you also slightly move the Firetruck each time you get in to help with the glitch, usually by driving forward and reversing a little while you're waiting for the burning vehicle to spawn.
Once a new vehicle is marked on the map, just exit the Firetruck and run in and out of Ammu-Nation again. Continue for each level you want to beat until you complete Level 15. It can be done in under 5 minutes.
You could continue to abuse this exploit to make lots of cash as the Firefighter missions don't end at Level 15.
Rewards
- After completing 15 Levels, Vic will become fireproof on foot, meaning you won't take any damage while on fire. This is very useful and helps out with Rampages and some story missions, so you should look to complete the Firefighter missions as soon as possible.
- Cash rewards will increase with each level completed.
The Firefighter missions are a requirement towards 100% completion.
