Bike Salesman
Take 40 customers for a ride across 4 different motorbikes, impressing them enough to complete their purchase.
To start the Bike Salesman missions, you'll need to have access to Staunton Island. The Hogs 'n' Cogs bike shop can be found next to the fire department just South of the stadium on the North-West side of Staunton Island. You'll see a glowing yellow marker outside the shop, so walk into it and the mission will begin.
The missions are somewhat similar to dating girlfriends in GTA San Andreas when they ask to go for a drive. Each type of bike has a different type of customer who wants to be impressed in a different way. You'll need to alter your driving style to ensure the sale is successful.
In total you will need to sell 10 of each bike, 40 in total, and it should take around 20 minutes to complete. Many of the bike sales can be completed in under 10 seconds. You don't need to sell all bikes in a single session. You can leave and come back to sell bikes whenever you like until the target of 40 is completed.
Time Limits & Rules
The time starts at around 2:20 will constantly decrease after leaving the shop. Successfully completing a sale will award a 110 second bonus.
The mission won't be failed by exiting or falling off the bike, however you'll need to get back on within 30 seconds or it will end.
You'll fail the mission if you are Wasted, Busted, the bike is destroyed or one of your customers dies or becomes dissatisfied. You can also run out of time, however given the ease of these missions, that's an unlikely outcome.
Bike Breakdown
Bike | Type | Sales |
---|---|---|
Sanchez | Off-Road | 10 |
Faggio | Slow and Steady | 10 |
PCJ-600 | Fast | 10 |
Freeway | Police Evasion / Top Speed | 10 |
Sanchez
All customers for the Sanchez dirt-bike want something that can perform stunts and go off-road. There are plenty of grassy hills nearby for you to drive over, however all you really need to do is drive across the road from the bike shop, onto the grass and dirt path and drive in circles a few times at a moderate speed. The customer will be happy and you can be back at the shop in under 10 seconds. Just repeat this 10 times and the Sanchez will be completed and won't appear outside the shop any more.
Faggio
Faggio customers are looking for something slow and steady because they're a bit shaky. You don't want to drive too fast or the satisfaction meter will decrease over time, and you certainly need to avoid crashing into anything. All you really need to do is pull out of the parking lot, turn left and drive at a slow to moderate speed for about 5 seconds and the customer will be happy, then return to the shop to complete the sale. Do this for all 10 Faggio bikes and it'll stop appearing outside the shop.
PCJ-600
Customers for the PCJ-600 want speed. All you need to do is drive flat-out for about 5-10 seconds and the customer will be happy. Keep up the speed or the satisfaction meter will decrease quite quickly. Simply pull out of the parking lot and speed down the road towards the stadium. It won't take long until they're satisfied then you can spin around and head back to the bike shop. Repeat this for all 10 bikes and the PCJ-600 will be completed and won't appear any more.
Freeway
The Freeway is the most time consuming of all the bikes. Customers generally want something that's tough to chase. Officially I believe you're supposed to run people over and get a wanted level, then escape the cops, however the meter will fill just by driving at top speed. You'll need to drive around as fast as you can for about 30 seconds for the satisfaction meter to fill then return to the bike shop to complete the sale. You don't need to get a wanted level or run anyone over, just keep your foot on the gas until the meter is full. Repeat 10 times, which will take about 10 minutes in total.
Rewards
- After selling all 40 bikes (in total), you'llĀ unlock Hogs 'n' Cogs as an asset under Toni's protection, generating up to $3,000 per day which you'll need to drop by and manually collect.
The Bike Salesman missions are a requirement towards 100% completion.
