Sayonara Salvatore

Claude meets Asuka and Maria at her waterside apartment.

Asuka tells him they have certain issues to clear up before they can continue any form of relationship - business or otherwise. She explains that she is Yakuza and she knows he worked for Salvatore Leone's family. She can get him work with her organization, but first he must prove his ties with the Mafia are truly broken. Salvatore will be leaving Luigi's in about three hours time. Make sure he doesn't reach his club alive.

Meanwhile, Asuka and Maria will catch up on old times. In the background we hear Maria exclaim "oh Asuka, you've got a massager", to which she replies "that's not a massager..."

When the mission starts, you've got an unofficial countdown timer to reach Luigi's club in the Red Light District in Portland. Roughly three hours from whenever you start the mission, which is three minutes in real time.

Grab a vehicle - perhaps one of Asuka's Yakuza Stingers parked nearby which you may not have seen so far in the game, then make your way across the newly repaired Callahan Bridge and head towards the pink blip indicating your target location. If you need a weapon - a sniper rifle is recommended - head to Ammu-Nation first which you'll almost pass on the way to the bridge.

As you reach the Red Light District, the game will inform you that you'll be spotted if you hang around outside, so you need to find somewhere a bit more subtle to wait.

There's an alleyway just across the street from Luigi's club with stairs leading to a rooftop overlooking the club entrance.

OH THE IRONY

This is the same alleyway Salvatore tried to blow you up in on the previous mission with a car rigged with a bomb.

Climb the stairs to the rooftop and you'll get a great view of the entrance to Luigi's club. You probably arrived with plenty of time to spare, so just hang around up there.

The camera switches to the back of Luigi's club as we see numerous Mafia guards exit the club. Salvatore is well protected.

If you look down the street, eventually you'll see a convoy of Mafia Sentinels making their way to the club, so you'll know Salvatore is close.

The game will inform you when he's actually leaving the club, but it'll still take him 15 seconds or so to appear at the front.

When he does, you'll have a few seconds to take the shot. DON'T MISS. You probably won't have time to shoot again as he'll run straight into a parked car. If you're using a sniper rifle, don't worry about getting a headshot. As satisfying as it is to pop his head, any sort of shot will take him down.

If you do miss, you can still take him out by chasing after his car and destroying it before he reaches his mansion, but given you're on a roof and he's speeding away, it's probably unlikely you'll reach him in time.

Mission Passed!

As soon as he's dead, the job is finished, but don't hang around in Mafia turf for long or you'll end up in serious trouble.
