Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a modern, updated version of Los Santos with surrounding countryside. The map is based on real locations including Los Angeles, Salton Sea and numerous places in between.


GTA V's Los Santos is a diverse landscape from downtown skyscrapers to sunny beaches and rural farms to gang-infested suburbs. You can drive from rich hillside estates over to desert towns with ease - or take to the skies and admire the beauty of the world at work below. If you're scared of heights then waterways can take you on a gentle ride through the wilderness.
