Ballad of Gay Tony on GameTrailers Now Online

Published by Psy

A 15 minute exclusive preview of The Ballad of Gay Tony is now online to watch!

GameTrailers exclusive preview on The Ballad of Gay Tony which was aired last night on Spike TV is now available online. It features an interview with Rockstar's Jeronimo Barrera and is split up into four chapters:

  • Chapter 1 - Story and Characters: 00:00-04:45
  • Chapter 2 - Missions and Gameplay: 04:45-10:00
  • Chapter 3 - Multiplayer: 10:00-15:30
  • Chapter 4 - Beyond GTA IV: 10:00-15:30

A number of interesting pieces of info were brought up in the video. The main points include:

  • Luis must make a difficult decision right at the start of the game, deciding whether to help his mother or Gay Tony.
  • Jeronimo replied "No" when asked if the next GTA was set in Dubai, but then said "You never know" in more of a tongue in cheek reply.
  • Unlike GTA IV and The Lost And Damned's gameplay, which were more based around driving, The Ballad of Gay Tony is more combat based.
  • While floating down to earth on parachute you are unable to fire your weapon. However if you're on the ground, you are able to shoot at other people in the air.
  • The game will feature a pink/purple sky filter, in comparison with the yellow sky which was seen in The Lost And Damned.
  • Some vehicles do have nitrous, but not all of them.
  • A new dance radio station is in the game, hosted by an Italian DJ/Producer duo called Crookers.
  • Contrary to rumors and opinions on our forums, The Ballad of Gay Tony WILL be the last game in the GTA IV series of games. I guess we'll all just have to look forward to GTA5 once Gay Tony is completed.
