New Members Introduce Yourself
Welcome, and thanks for joining us 😀
welcome dude...Just found this place super exotic to have a good healthy discusssion on GTA and many other games.
Been lurking for a while but after today's trailer release, thought it was high time I made a 'return'.
Nowhere near as active as I once was on GTA Online (twice I've gone over a year without playing it) but have made a little return to it over recent weeks.
My interest in gaming has waned a little due to 'lazy' developers re-hashing games as well as general cost of new games nowadays. Can't juistify the cost, however GTA VI will be very much an exception.
Anyway, looking forward to following the progress of GTA VI's development, news etc here. 🙂
Welcome! I think there'll be quite a few people likely lurking until closer til release but hopefully with more details to pore over now, we'll have some more people to welcome!
Interesting to hear your views on the rehashed games, anything you have come across that took you by surprise the last few years?
Welcome shabbagaz, thanks for joining us. I haven't played GTA Online since about the first year it came out. Enjoyed it but I much prefer doing stuff solo or with a small group of friends. Apparently a lot of it can be done co-op now though or so I heard, so fingers crossed GTA VI Online works in the same way.
For the past 6 months all I've played is old GTA games, but I just started replaying Elder Scrolls Oblivion after they remastered it and I'm really enjoying it again. I think it's a good thing devs can use new technology to improve the games they wanted to build years ago but probably couldn't because of the hardware limitations at the time.
Sadly I don't think anything has taken me by surprise. Ironically, I do want to play Oblivion Remastered - I'm a huge fan of Skyrim but I can justify that as I didn't pay the original.
Just waiting for that to come down in price.
I think you'll like it! I've been playing it most days since it came out. It has it's faults but Oblivion was one of those games that left such a positive impression on me growing up, I'm just happy to be able to play through it again.
It was one of those insta-buys for me given I know that £/$50 for hundreds of hours of content is worth it.
I would say that Oblivion was much better than Skyrim especially when it came to the Guilds storylines and the DLC. I remember being wow'd by Skyrim when it came out but it never really hooked me like Oblivion did.
I'm secretly hoping that with the delay that hopefully a GTA 4 Remaster of some sort comes out this year but I'll not hold my breath.
Other games I've been playing mostly on Steam Deck that I've really enjoyed were Dave The Diver and Dredge.
In general I love a good story game, even the smaller ones (What Remains of Edith Finch, Everyone's gone to the Rapture, Journey, Stanley Parable are just some of my highlights over the years).
Hello all,
I am Xeonon. I joined here because I'm interested in joining a community with info retaining to the Grand Theft Auto series. About 20 years ago I was doing some of the original programming on the multiplayer mod for GTA: Vice City (PC Persion). Glad to be able to join this community and get to discuss the upcoming addition to the franchise. Flash forward 20 years, I am astonished and amazed at the level of detail this new iteration of the game will show off. 20 years ago we thought we were cool to be able to get multiplayer finally in to a GTA game. Now? Now it's something 10 trillion times what we did at that time. I am blessed to still be alive to see this game. Cheers.
I'd to make this forum a bit more active. Staff- would you be opposed to me sharing this in Discord channels? I had a whole community of 1000+ players on an old SAMP RP server called Project Los Angeles. If anyone wants to see something cool, check out Now or Never Cops. It's one of the things we made on Vice City multiplayer back in the day. We did a parody of the show COPS.
I am also waiting for GTA 6
