Rockstar was clearly hoping for handheld gamers to clear shelves that Chinatown Wars filled. Now gamers and R* fans galore made the game a success from the start so far.

The UK Golden Joystick Awards enters its 27th year on October 30th, and the game that mixes classic and new GTA features together takes the Handheld Game of the Year for the Nintendo DS. The award can bed itself with Vice City and other GTA games that reached the title Greatest Hits. R* thanks the people who took time to vote.

As they surpass one decade of gaming, R* might add on another!
