Grand Theft Auto III StoryClaude, or Fido - GTA III's protagonist has just robbed a bank with his girlfriend Catalina. While chasing her out of the bank she turns to him and says "Sorry babe, I'm an ambitious girl and you... You're just small-time.", then shoots him to leave him to die in an alley.
A short time later a police convoy is seen leaving Staunton Island and makes it's way across the bridge to Portland when the convoy is attacked and as a result, Claude is set free with a black man whose hands are messed up known as 8-Ball.
Claude then must take on jobs from local thugs and crime lords, working his way up through the ranks until he can get his revenge on everyone who stands in his way, including his former love, Catalina.
