Full Version: Grove members running out of ammo

I have a problem with GSF members equipped with 9mm running out of ammo during our drive-bys. It also happens with Denise.

What happens is that after some minutes of shooting, they will continue to fire and it will look like their pistols are firing (muzzle flash). But they will not make sound and the target is not hit by any bullets.

So it works as if they were firing blanks that are completely silent.

I don't think this happens to the members with Desert Eagle and SMG. And I have never seen it happen unless they are under CJ's command and in a car.

PS2 version.

A drive-by takes like 10 seconds. Maybe your lack of accuracy is the issue.

My lack of accuracy? It's happening to them, not me (but it's true they got no accuracy). Maybe drive-by is not the correct term, what I mean is we drive around in enemy turfs looking for trouble. And I'm having fun with the police.

In the latter case it's not drive-by, more a pursuit. But what terms I used are not so important.

NPC's should never run out of ammo. It must be a bug.

I think they always had limited ammo. Would be kind of cheap if they were unlimited. Dismiss them and find some fresh guns to ride with you.

Maybe it is meant to be limited when they are in cars? But all NPC's have unlimited ammo when they are on foot, and biker coppers have unlimited ammo when they are on the bike. I have not followed criminals long enough to be sure, but I don't think they run out of ammo.

And GSF members with other guns than 9mm do never run out of ammo. So I still think it's a bug that their 9mm ammo is not infinite when they are in a car. Running gout of ammo would make sense if any NPC's would run out of ammo in other situations also.

Dismiss them and recruit new ones is possible, but the problem is that you can't do that without getting out of the car. And when you get out of the car somewhere where you can recruit other guys, a bunch of pigs spawn right behind your back. Bribes can be used first, but it takes time to collect them. If I don't drive a cop car, I can use Pay & Spray but that takes time also.
