I need a better quality screen capture tool, the one I have is built into my laptop/windows or whatever and the quality is crap. Anyone know of a good one I could download? I've looked around and there are free one's about but I'm always warey about downloading from these 'FreeDownloads' sites.

That too yeah, but to capture anything really. You've seen the bad quality my screen-cap gives.

Damn, that's some bad screen cap right there...

I told you about the print screen thing... and if possible, don't use .gif for the file

@TreeFitty - Yeah I know about the Print Scr thing but just want something quicker, so I can do the cropping right there and then.

Psy uses something for capturing from the PS3 through a computer. I forget the name. And stop being lazy. Print Screen > MS Paint > Done.

You don't need/want extra software to print screen, your pc does it for you.
If you want to take a screenshot of only the active window, use the ALT key.

That's a $300 video capture card that needs to be installed in my PC. Fraps is decent though, you can use it to capture the full screen if you like, and it's good for videos/games.

Just downloaded it cheers, I'll give it a whirl later.

If it's just for screen shot images just use print screen. and save it out as a high quality jpeg. If it's for videos Adobe captivate 5 is good, but it isn't 'free'.
Fraps does a demo version of its screen cappy though i don't think it allows you to save any more than 30 seconds per video unless you get the full version.

You can still find other sites hosting the last released version of it. It still works too, the only thing you can't do is upload to an account.
