Full Version: Red Dead Revolution?

Late to the ball, so sorry if this is known, but seems some guy drunkenly spoke about doing technical work for a game called Red Dead revolution. Now the article states this was the name for Red Dead Redemption prior to it's official name (never knew that either) but makes me think, is it the third game with that title, or a third game, just Revolution is the place holder name until they think of an even cooler word beginning with R?

Red Dead Revolution

Apologies if this is know, old, or proven to be fake. First I've ever heard of it, and it got me excited. slash worried, as I don't know if a new Red Dead game could outdo the story of Redemption. That story was amazing. Hope it doesn't go the route of GTA with the same story just rehashed for each new instalment.

I don't think there will be another Red dead, I mean where could it possibly go from where it left off? The game is a masterpiece and can't be improved IMO.

I doubt much of the article to be true on the story side. Anybody could stumble around saying they worked on the game. MCV themselves could just be pulling legs too. I agree they will probably find an R-word more appealing than "Revolution".

my money has been on "red dead revenge" being the title of the next one ever since redemption came out...

As i've always said and thought, they don't necessarily have to pick up where Redemption left off, I mean Redemption didn't exactly follow on from Revolver did it? They could quite easily go back to the glory days of the west in the mid-1800's and maybe show Landon Ricketts as a young gunslinger, or they could just create a completely new character.

(And no I haven't bothered to read any of the prior posts to mine, i'm out of training with my forum etiquette... coincidentally, is it considered standard procedure to place two or three fingers up the anus when greeting a fellow member, i'm sure it's three but I can't quite remember.)

If you use 3 it has to be in shocker formation.

And yeah, the next Red Dead can go anywhere. But likely the past since the cowboy era was ending.

Read Dead Repugnance? Ah no wait that was the place holder for Undead Nightmare...

Well we didn't get to ride with John's old gang when he was a baddy so it's possible they could make a new Red Dead game based on those times. I'm not sure I'd like to see another Red Dead though because RDR is an absolute classic (already) and should rest in it's place as THE cowboy game.

Agreed, after its success I doubt R* will forget about the series.
