Thanks Stoic.

First game play, it's nice and smooth. Good to be on the west coast.
You'll notice scenery, plant life and food - colored for the area.
Same with the text of the game, gives it a western feel.
It's good exploring for all known items, and a lot of new ones.

While there are some complicated procedures, the old ones are there also.
I'm gathering up as much as possible, selling what I don't need, and building skills & relationships.

Got through the first few side quests so I can help with that, but most of you won't need help.
PabloHoneyOle
Have you run into any glitches on the 360?
Massacre
Well shit, I've already fucked up. One of the NPC's in Goodsprings went and got herself killed, and now I need her for a quest. I can't abandon the quest, and I can't continue either. I'll wait until you guys get through the starting quests to elaborate.

Fuck it, started a new game.

I have not.

However, being that this is open-ended with many possible outcomes
for each side mission and story mission, I have seen alternatives.

I've already found maybe 30 locations, and have no strategy guide
or any previous knowledge of the Mojave Wasteland.

So - some of the side missions I've solved, are first timers, and different than others will solve.

Played better part of all day from 10AM to midnight, with a food break.
No locking up, or glitches of any kind. Just our own outcome glitches.

Regarding Massacre's issue, I did re-load to a previous save a few times,
because people died in what is becoming another of my successful but lethal characters.

I may have been going too fast, everyone is pretty much still alive but still no one to repair my stuff.
So I've been repairing it as much as possible, but only at Level 6 so skills are still low.

Have spoilers on about 6 side missions but will keep quiet on that for awhile.

Massacre
I had my game freeze earlier, but I had left it paused for three hours beforehand, so I'm going to go ahead and say Obsidian probably didn't do that one. I do frequently lag up for about a second, which scares me into saving my game, but no problems other than that.

My range of vision on my standard-def TV is pissing me off, though. I'll likely break down and buy the PC version by the weekend. Curse my infatuation with swag...

I didn't get to start playing until 1030 last night and I was already tired as hell.

I did the tutorial missions in Goodsprings last night. Didn't get very far, I may just restart fresh this afternoon.

I fucked up a couple things, first of all Cheyenne got killed by the Geckos in the "shooting tutorial". It upset Sunny pretty badly - at first I thought it was a prescripted event based on our dialogue, but I realized it's just one of those things with this game. Maybe I could have saved him. I also forced the safe in the schoolhouse on accident. Dammit.

Anyway, what were your characters SPECIAL like? What traits did you choose?

For my first playthrough, I went with a pretty balanced SPECIAL setup with a little more emphasis on Charisma, Intelligence and Luck. I think I'll be trying to schmooze my way through the Wasteland with this character. For the initial traits, I chose the Good Natured and the Wild West trait, that makes everything "wackier".

Anyone decide to give hardcore mode a playthrough yet? It sounds very overbearing, but I think I will start a game after my first couple of playthroughs.

The training was great, I went for the extended and ended up looking for flowers, roots, etc during exploring.

Figured out how to use them and the benches, and then end up saving everything in hopes of. Too much stash.

I think during the ammo and re-loader bench dialogue with Chet, I lost the repair option.

Near the campfire area is where I first started to set up camp, at Goodsprings Source, in a little trailer with storage and a bed.

It gets old though dragging 1,000 lbs. of stuff to the general store.

I have now "fame" with some factions, and "infamy" with others. Most notably, the Powder Gangers, Jackals, and the Legion hate me.

Some of the gangs and creatures like radscorps are so tough, and the new health system is so different, I'm glad I didn't take Hardcore Mode.

Gangs: The Powder Gangers, Jackals, and Snipers are easy, but the Legion are proving to be not as gay as their dresses makes them look.

Creatures: Don't under estimate ANY of the radscorps this time. The health system has been re-vamped where you need anti-venom,
and the food does almost nothing in comparison to Fallout 3. Might be why they have special recipes using regular food.

i played about 8 hours yesterday... i am currently sitting in novac, on the trail of my killer... i've done a few main quest missions and a few on the side... i've probably discovered about 15 locations but, i didn't explore every one of the them through... there are some cool places and then there are some fucked up ones...

and like synch said, don't underestimate the creatures neither... i constantly find pockets of ants and scorpions, sometimes as many as 10 of them in a single location... it really takes some strategy after a while... i've only died once so far and that happened when i ran into a pack of vipers, one of the factions in the mojave...

i've had to re-load a few times, just to re-do something specific, and also when i clipped through half a plane and got stuck... no one has died on me just yet... a couple of random encounters were testing me though... i even managed to save a lady from geckos in the tutorial quest...

to be quite honest, i am moving along in this game at a confident pace... i've handle just about every situation with great strategy and taken with a good approach to the situations... a couple of battles turned into an old fashioned shoot-out but, i am making good use of my surorundings...

and HOLY SHIT, i think i am cheating using the caravan shotgun!! i have pumped probably more than a hundred shells through it and it is still almost in mint condition!! this fucker is going to hold up nicely biggrin.gif... it deals out about the same amount of damage as the single shotgun but, it's double barreled with two bullets delivered separately and it's durability is probably unmatched... and i am still wearing the lightweight leather armor too because, it's a neutral outfit and it's still the better suit of armor that i've found so far, which isn't much...

my character is kind of balanced with a touch of agility and luck... S=6 P=6 E=6 C=4 I=5 A=7 L=7... and i've already used one of my perks on an additional SPECIAL point, as well as on "shotgun surgeon" since my guy is turning into a great CQC guy with his shotgun, and the "educated" perk, giving me a few more skills points when i level up... i only took the trigger discipline trait at the beginning, it's the one that gives you 20% more accuracy at the cost of firing 20% slower... i think it's paid off already out there biggrin.gif...

i also found myself a place to stay, although, i did wonder about a few places i came across on my journey... free beds and containers everywhere!! something makes me think we'll be able to almost choose wherever to be our home... i paid a hundred caps for a motel room in ***** novac ***** and the keep said i could have it until the busy season kicks in, which is probably never laugh.gif... so, a hundred bucks for a nice looking pad... i got some shit in the containers right now, and i am willing to gamble to see if it saves my stuff...

speaking of gambling, i started to figure out how to play caravan... i won my last game... but, i am itching to get to the strip so i can play some roulette and blackjack... and sit like a zombie at the slots too biggrin.gif... i am loving this game though... it's a fallout 3 lovers paradise!! maybe today i'll sit down and try to learn how to craft and make bullets... i haven't looked much into it just yet...

I really like this aspect of the game, it was something that was missing in Fallout 3 until Point Lookout, where you could make Moonshine for cash based on things you scavenged for. After speaking with Easy Pete, I think there will be much more focus on scavenging than before.

I've slept there. Have you come across any ownable safehouses? I'm looking forward to setting up a few different camps across the wasteland, but it's always nice to have a humble abode to dump and display my treasures in.

I'm curious how "Fame" and "Karma" are going to mix things up. It seems like the "Fame" will take precedence over the "Karma" system when it comes to NPC's perceptions of you, especially if they are affiliated with a tribe.

There are so many beds because of Hardcore mode. They didn't want it to be too hard to avoid sleep deprivation. I imagine there are several wells and water sources outside of the group aroud Goodsprings, too. I think ammo having weight will be the biggest problem with Hardcore mode.

Using my controller to shoot instead of a keyboard and mouse will take a lot of getting used to. Luckily, there are geckos out the ass in the Mojave, so I'm getting plenty of practice.

Taking it slow after starting a second game last night, got to make sure no one important dies (apparently none of the NPC's are set as essential in this game?). Heading into Primm now...

Yep - but there is still the karma system. Note the things that are marked red, you will recieve bad karma for stealing.

Also note about old vs. new health and skill system: Some of the old reliable books like Guns and Bullets will still work, adding permanent points.
The new ones like Meeting People and others are short term, for when you are -about to- go and speech someone, pick a lock, use weapons, etc.
The health system is killing me, so I guess I am trying to make all the concoctions that you can see, with ingrediants. That and skill up on med skill.

I noted the "infamy" text after taking out everything in Nipton - but ran across Legion members in the wastes that don't shoot.
Same for the powders - they haven't been shooting either, and I pissed them off very early like the 2nd hour of the game.

Found many houses - locked and unlocked. As I did the sides and storyliners differently, we may find out those houses were ownable, or not.

But basically, the first time I may have lost out, was: I re-programmed the Primm Sim to be sheriff of Primm.
Many had made suggestions of who they wanted as sheriff, but in the end I re-programmed the robot and may have lost a house.
All of the four houses that were available in Primm then became occupied with residents. Could just be coincidence.
When I rescued Deputy Beagle, he died in the first fight so I re-loaded, rescued him again, and closed the doors so he could escape.
Then I took out the escaped convict leader of the Primm Hotel, and got his Incinerator. Don't think I could have taken out the
Legion in Nipton without that big weapon. So during all of that, I may have missed a house opportunity.

There is also the house that Pete stays in in Goodsprings. The other house everything is red in, and a woman lives there.
I get the feeling that had I had a higher speech skill, I could have talked Pete out of his dynamite, and his house.
Will not know for awhile because I put the Ringo mission on the back burner. But have convinced Sunny and Trudy to join.
Pete and Chet are the ones that my speech skill wasn't high enough for, so who knows if I lost a house, or haven't yet.

My biggest worries about a house are all of the stuff I've collected (not for sale, but for recipes) that may dissappear.
They haven't so far in either location, Goodsprings Source, or the trailer behind the saloon.

Now I have 5 or 6 locations of empty houses loaded with loot to transport back and sell much of.
Companion note: ED-D the eyebot can carry more than Fawkes could!!! L0L

Yeah, I know about the Karma system and how it works. I'm a kleptomaniac. What I was getting at is in Fallout 3, people seemed to react to you whether you were Good or Evil. That was the big deciding factor into what kind of character you want to be. The new system has the old Good vs. Evil setup, but now you can also be Famous or Infamous - which seems to be the big deciding factor in how people and factions are going to respond to you.

Yeah like, the best/weirdest of the west. Thought it may include mirages and aliens as well.
I also like the new soundtrack, but I am also constantly hearing the new sounds for leveling up, XP,
and the weird communication noises from ED-D. Not sure if they are translatable.
I pretty much only use the inventory wheel for it.

Saw the houses and motel rooms in Novac. A view of T-Rex. I'm still looting Nipton, will go back to Novac and see.

Just a question, no spoilers please, but if you kill a NCP that you need is it game ending or is it that it means you cant do those missions or...
Massacre
If an NPC dies, that's it. You can't start any quests they're involved with, if they're involved with a quest you already have, it usually says you failed it, and if you somehow start a quest that requires you to talk to them, the marker on your radar leads to their corpse, and because you can't abandon a quest, it's on you quest log for eternity. Luckily, none of the NPC's for the main quests can be killed, just like in Fallout 3.

However, if someone dies on PC, all you have to do is hit ~, click their corpse, and type "resurrect," and voila, they are reborn.

Hopefully any of the major (and I mean major) gang leaders I have killed are not NPC's.

If I kill, or someone else kills, an otherwise important person IMHO (Beagle, Sunny, etc) I just re-load.

My mission outcomes have probably been fucked for future side missions, but I have been taking short routes.

Anything with repair or science skills I've taken the easy way out, which we know will devalue side missions.

Hopefully there is a generous mod here that is watching this thread, because as AFAIK we do not know the story end yet.

We all know someone out there is racing through the story liners and not doing the sides.

These are the idiots that post "CJ kills Tenpenny" or "The Vault Dweller dies in the end of Fallout 3"....

Leveled up to 7 now and am at 2500+ caps. Found a repair kit but it only works for the weapon you are holding.

Note to loot as much as possible - there are a ton of new items that seem rare. Weapons especially.

Seems like, based on the map in the pip boy, Fallout New Vegas is 1/3 the size of Fallout 3..
Massacre
Haven't really done much research on that point, but yeah, it kind of seems that way on the map, although it feels just as big as the Capital Wasteland when you're walking around.

You should also keep in mind that all of the New Vegas strip is accessible, rather than being half-composed of inaccessible ruins like downtown D.C. was, and D.C. took up nearly a quarter of the map.

GTFO.

I played for hours yesterday and didn't really get shit done. I did finish the Ringo related missions in Goodsprings and explored all the way down south to Primm while trying to level up a bit. I've gone and managed to piss of the Powder Gangers pretty bad. They shoot on sight, unless I am wearing some of their clothing; then they only shoot if they get close.

I spent a good part of the night running from three giant rad scorpions that followed me all the way from around the Goodsprings cemetery all the way to Sloan. They chased me all the way to the memorial deal and I managed to make it into the abandoned shack. I rested for 5 hours in the shack, thinking they might be gone, but when I got back out they were still waiting for me. I managed to escape them by jumping off a small cliff.

I also didn't head the advice of one of the miners in Sloan. He warned me about the Deathclaws if I tried to head north to the strip. I figured I'd go ahead and make a run for it just staying on the train tracks. I barely got out Sloan before a Deathclaw mauled the fuck out of me. None of my guns even phased it.

i didn't go that way but i could tell from the official deathclaw screenshot that they infest the quarry... i pretty much headed south to start the game, then a little east and then north for the remainder of my journey to the strip... i pretty much followed the old highway, passing a few towns and a couple of places i am planning on going back to visit like the helios building (which they wouldn't let me in but i am cool with NCR now) and the rocket factory ovverrun by ghouls...

... and i'm officially on the strip now, after about 3 hours of side jobs in freeside... i don't think it's much of a spoil but, in order to access the strip you either need a passport (which you can acquire from a side-mission) or pass a 2,000 cap credit check... i just started looking around vault 21 when my game crashed and that's where i left off last night...

i won "kinda" big in the gomorrah casino, over 300 chips... but i spent a hundred on a hooker, and another hundred i lost at the blackjack tables laugh.gif... so in reality, i walked away with winnings of 100 chips... i met mr. house, his casino looks awesome!! and yes, he does give you a swanky penthouse but, i can't see myself staying there much... i still like the musty old rotted motel room in the town of novac biggrin.gif...

i recruited boone and we rolled the wasteland together... i actually reached new vegas with him in tow but, i sent him back to novac to be alone... i had rex following me for a minute but, i told him to wait at the king's place because i wasn't ready to make the journey to get him fixed... the quest will take me into jacobstown they say... i think that's where the super mutant refuge is... but i am thinking of finishing up something here in vegas and then heading back to recruit cassidy biggrin.gif... i spotted her in a bar on my journey and she suggested i work for the crimson caravan in new vegas... i wonder what she'll say next...

and dammit, there goes my 2 day vacation... it's back to work... that time went by FAST!!!... too fast...

My biggest ethical decision so far hasn't really been storyline related, rather it involved coyote pups in the overturned truck. They didn't attack, but I had already killed their mother and wasn't sure if they'd attack. I stood there for a minute or two deciding whether or not to waste them or not. I decided I needed the stuff in the back of truck so they met an unfortunate end.

For the most part, I have been avoiding killing the younger versions of animals but I know that they are one day going to grow up and want to kill me. It's kind of like the fucking Fox and the Hound.
Massacre
Didn't you have to hit level 14 or something before Deathclaws would start showing up in 3? I guess the quarry could be like Old Olney or the Deathclaw Sanctuary, but you were a lot less likely to go near those places as a low-level.

I think I might actually have to start investing in the armor-piercing and hollowpoint rounds...

i think i might go back and check out some of these side-quests and locations i passed up on... i was eager to get to the strip so, i was moving through the game at a brisk pace... but now that i am there, i can afford to slow the flow a bit... i might check out that rocket factory the good folks of novac want me to check out...

BUGS: well, i've ran into a few bugs so far... one time i fell through half a plane and got stuck in it so, i had to reload... but, the game has come to a crashing halt a couple times... both were in new vegas, go figure tongue.gif... it froze up once when i was running towards an exit... i saw it coming since the game started to drastically slow down just prior... the other one was in vault 21, pretty much as soon as a script started running... and the only glitch i've noticed so far is at one point boone's NCR ranger beret was hanging sideways next to his face, lol laugh.gif... but so far, it hasn't been as bad as i thought it would be reading the reviews... it's just been a few hiccups, nothing serious yet... i actually think the game runs more smoother than fallout 3 so far... we'll see when i get into the latter levels if it still is... that's where i had the problems with fallout 3, freezes began popping up after about level 15...

EDIT: also, that's the last time i look at a fallout wikia page until i beat this game... i don't need any help with the main game right now... i'll worry about the wikia site once i start my second game and want to know how to alternately complete some of the quests and the cool unique stuff left for me to find out there... so for now, fuck fallout wikia biggrin.gif...
Massacre
I don't think you're too far ahead, I think I'm just dragging like fuck. I'm only level 6, just now rolling into Novac after doing pretty much everything around Primm, Nipton, and the NCR's Mojave Outpost. Still have a couple things to do when my lockpick skill hits 50. ED-E is the shit, by the way.
bOnEs
there's quite a few NCR mojave outposts... didn't you hit up charlie on your way to novac?? you'll run into a few more on your way to the strip, they are everywhere it seems like... i am constantly running into the NCR... it's going to make the evil play that much more fun knowing how abundant the NCR is biggrin.gif...

you and synch must of tagged science biggrin.gif... i tagged guns, repair and sneak... but, i've been pumping a lot of points into speech because it seems like there are a lot of speech checks, even some in crucial quests... i like the magazines though, it's a nice +10 boost for those tough conversations that could use some temporary expertise...

now i'm off to finish what i started in vault 21... and that's my personal tour biggrin.gif...
Massacre
I meant the big outpost you run into if you go right on the highway instead of left to Nipton. You get sent there if you choose the NCR for that quest in Primm. Keeping that vague in case one of you hasn't done it yet...

And I tagged guns, repair, and speech. I figured out that those are the most valuable skills when you no longer have five DLC's worth of gear you can pick up before even starting the main quests.
Massacre
Hey, if you bought your copy from Gamestop, don't mod the Weathered 10mm Pistol. They didn't bother to add the models for the modded versions, so you'll just wind up staring at a red box with an exclamation point in it.

QUOTE (bOnEs @ Oct 20 2010, 08:35 AM) *
and like synch said, don't underestimate the creatures neither... i constantly find pockets of ants and scorpions, sometimes as many as 10 of them in a single location... it really takes some strategy after a while... i've only died once so far and that happened when i ran into a pack of vipers, one of the factions in the mojave...

and HOLY SHIT, i think i am cheating using the caravan shotgun!! i have pumped probably more than a hundred shells through it and it is still almost in mint condition!! this fucker is going to hold up nicely biggrin.gif... it deals out about the same amount of damage as the single shotgun but, it's double barreled with two bullets delivered separately and it's durability is probably unmatched... and i am still wearing the lightweight leather armor too because, it's a neutral outfit and it's still the better suit of armor that i've found so far, which isn't much...

i also found myself a place to stay, although, i did wonder about a few places i came across on my journey... free beds and containers everywhere!! something makes me think we'll be able to almost choose wherever to be our home... i paid a hundred caps for a motel room in ***** novac ***** and the keep said i could have it until the busy season kicks in, which is probably never laugh.gif... so, a hundred bucks for a nice looking pad... i got some shit in the containers right now, and i am willing to gamble to see if it saves my stuff...

Got the Caravan Shotgun tonight. Sure is a good weapon, bOnEs. cool.gif

It's good but I been scoring the new bug stomper perks with just
9mm and 10mm weathered pistols. Same for mutated animal perks.
Mostly various strains of mantis, bloatfly, radroach, geckos and coyotes.
The throwing spears work well there too, especially for the Golden Geckos.
Also, anyone tried killing those birds? You can, I shot one tonight with manual aim.
They eat on the dead carcasses of the geckos, in areas like that mountain where the prospector died.
(The side quest to help that guy rescue his girlfriend is a Gecko gold mine.

When you have ED-D as a companion, your perception level is peaked,
and you can spot enemies for miles around. In between Goodsprings and Primm,
you can really build up bug stomping, XP, shooting, mellee skills by using that perception,
seeking them out and killing them. Hit Level 8 tonight, pretty uneventful other than finding new locations.
Got a Mojave Walker note, doesn't appear to be an achievement, but I just saw something about 50 locations.
Came across the super poisonous flying bugs - those things are super nasty.
Better have the antivenom handy or it's lights out real quick.

I pretty much stay away from the various scorpions but the incinerator works well.

Favorite new weapon is the Carbine that the mutants carry. 5mm shells.
Funny how the Nightkins of the Black Mountain where I first encountered
the mutants and new centaurs, carry that big sword like Pyramid Head in Silent Hill.

And as for other game/film relationships, a lot of the music sounds like Twin Peaks.

Finally have high lock pick, med, repair, and science skill.
Have to use the comic books before engaging in any heavy speech tricks though.

You guys will all pass me up by miles in the storyline but I'm just going at a snail pace now.
After I found a hollowed out rock like the one in Megaton, now I am checking everything.
There are stashes literally everywhere.

As for there being no DC Metro tunnels to get lost in, I found the Hidden Valley Bunkers....
First one needs 50 lock pick skill, no problemo right? The second - MAX. 100 lock pick skill required.
That's like the door to get into the side of the ship where the scientist lives in Rivet City, instead of swimming.
Hopefully there will be a secret safe way to get in to the quarry to kill the deathclaw alpha male, queen,
and also get eggs for the girl's omelette recipe in Sloan. But who knows, it could be nothing in those tunnels.

Got the room in Novac but it's just not near anything I need like re-loading bench, campfire, etc.
Still staying in the trailer behind the store and saloon in Goodsprings. I'm boring as usual.

Also - Found a glitch! Very GTA-like. On the mountain above the Lone Wolf Radio Station,
you can fall into the rock and explore under the hill for a fair bit. That is I think, due east of Primm.
Not many glitches like that, it's an insubstantial plane, a hole in the surface, similar to the underworld in VC.

Can't wait for my 3 day weekend to play. A few hours each night after work doesn't get me very far.
But hey, at least I found a Wasteland Survival Guide. biggrin.gif
Pieface
Game's released and installed. Won't be playing it till after University though, so around 5 at the earliest sad.gif
bOnEs
in novac i thought there was a reloading bench in the small village behind the motel... as well as a campfire... i got comped a room in the atomic wrangler casino but all the containers are fucking RED!! i can use te bed but, i can't store anything... oh well, that room sucked anyways laugh.gif...

i didn't do much as far as the story and exploration goes yesterday... i tied up a few loose ends with missions, and i now have cassidy as a follower... but some friends stopped by last night and saw i was still playing this (of course i was, dumbasses).. so i traveled to the strip to show 'em that and played some blackjack... now i am filthy rich!! i've got over a thousand chips in each casino and about 7,000 caps in my inventory alone... i'm sitting on over 10,000 caps biggrin.gif... i almost went out and bought the grenade machinegun but, the store didn't have any ammo for sale mad.gif... and i can't find anyone selling the ammo... i've already got my luck stat up to 7 but, i also found a vender selling the naughty nightwear tongue.gif so, i have a luck of 8 now, which is probably why i keep getting the cards in blackjack biggrin.gif...

i wonder if there are caravan shotgun mods because my trusty sturdy caravan shotgun could use something... i have yet to run into a lot of these glitches everyone keeps talking about...

but it's cool to see that we're all having a slightly different stories and experiences so far... with all this money on the strip, i am going to try my luck at a different approach to a current quest... they say each mission has a variety of ways in dealing with it... i am going to see if the high-roller angle works biggrin.gif... i think i need to win some more chips though...

lol, this file is playing out nothing like i envisioned... i envisioned playing a former caravaner-turned-courier who travels through the wasteland like a prospector, scavenging local abandoned buildings for forgotten treasures... instead, i am turning into the talk of vegas and becoming filthy rich!! i wonder if greed will settle in, lol... or if i use my good fortune onto others, like hooker's in gomorrah laugh.gif...

i'm sure i'll go back to prospecting in a bit, i already know of 3 vault locations, excluding the vault 21 hotel... i need to explore those and see what they offer...
§ynch
If you have all that money from gambling, you can buy the expensive super stimpacks and stimpacks.

They seem like the best health items, and I already have high med levels but still get hurt easily.

Also all the specialized ammo for the grenade launchers and other weapons is SO exensive, like $400 caps a round.

Anyone use the incendiary rounds and mods yet? I still have yet to get any mods available.

Is there vendors that repair your stuff? I couldn't have missed the dialogues on every vendor.

Need to read my manual more, I read something about control pad ops outside of the PIP Boy menu.

go to the mojave outpost (southwest part of of map), there's a guy there with a repair skill of 100... he only does weapons and protected armor... i can't get him to repair my hat or sunglasses sad.gif...

i plan on spending my hard earned caps on booze, ammo and unique weapons... maybe on the stimpacks if i find some trouble out in the mojave... i haven't done a lot of exploring out there so, i haven't the need for a bunch of stimpacks just yet biggrin.gif... the hardest enemy i fought thus far was a giant radscorpion...

Thanks, that location is on my map but haven't gone there yet. I am going there early now.
All my unique weapons are in need of repair, so I will be dropping like 3500 caps for sure.

Radscorps usually maul me in groups of 3. Over at Yangtze Memorial near the hollowed out rock,
they are always there. Watch out for north of Goodsprings as well, those flying bugs....

The funny thing is, I got a good kharma bonus for killing ghouls....then 5 giant radscorps decided to join....

Wow, I forgot how effective Swift Learner is. ED-E and Boone can clear out a room fast, too, and all companions run straight into battle if your detection status is [Caution] instead of [Danger], so I'm getting in fights I wanted nothing to do with and still winning. I'm getting insane XP right now. Hope it slows down soon, I'm not sure I really want to level this fast.

I need to take that into consideration.

How did you know how to get Boone? I failed in a most epic manner on that one.
Even after sneak cracking the lobby safe. I totally went down the garden path with the other sniper.
His computer, his story, and of course the manager's story. Guess I didn't do the math.

Boone was the ticket.

Mainly because, I can't do anything on foot in the Mojave without the Legion hit squads.
They take up all my stimpaks, super stimpaks, heavy weaponry, dynamite, and it's all
for nothing because they will appear again anytime I go anywhere on foot L0L.

Boone's was a quest I needed to finish.

Manny's PC in his room points to the Khans, and he is the one to send you on the REPCONN quest.
However even though he says he had nothing to do with the disappearance of Boone's wife,
and that everyone hated her, and that he and Boone haven't spoken since...
there was that option to lead him out in front of the big T-Rex which made me guess he is the only way.

I was a sucker. Thanks out to the autosave function on that one for sures.

I needed another companion, after getting constantly attacked by those fags in dresses.
They are worse than the super mutants L0L. Plus for some fucked up reason, when I did
make it all the way to the Mojave Outpost (3 times re-loading and killing the Legion hit squad)
they were hostile as well, so what a waste of time to go there just to repair my rare weapons.
Guess I will have to work my way into NCR respect, even though the Primm NCR respect me.

----------

Finished the Ringo raid against the powder idiots, how easy was that.

Moved on the lady and Boone joined up with me. So maybe life will continue, thanks Massacre.

Trust me, if you have ED-E and Boone with you, you'll see your enemies from a mile away, and they'll likely end up dead before you can draw your weapon, if there's two or less of them. I'm constantly wandering around, hearing gunshots, and turning to see that my companions have shredded a few bodies for me to loot.

I might have to tell them to take a hike for a while, or I might hit level 20 around Monday or so. I'll be at level 30 by the time the first DLC comes out, that's for sure.

Very cool.
Thanks for the head's up.
In the REPCONN center now, with both of them.

Much better than getting killed by Legion hit squads on the way to NCR turf,
where the NCR then kill me as well. (For no reason)
L0L Maybe that's a glitch, as NCR like me in Primm.

bOnEs
i did the REPCON quest last night, it's my favorite one so far biggrin.gif... i did it with cassidy though and i have a HUGE fucking problem with her now... somehow i ended up with her default shotgun (probably got shot out of her hand, picked up by an enemy, then re-picked up by me when i looted the enemy)... i ended up dropping it on the motel floor because it was causing items in my inventory to disappear, and this was before i realized it was her's... well, now it sits on my bed, with the words "steal" on it when i hover the cursor over it... and guess what? i can't steal it... it's lost forever...

she no longer has a default shotgun, i have to hook her up with a weapon and some ammo... so, i fired her and she's staying at the luxurious lucky 38 now... at least i now have a whore in my suite up there... i should get some hooker garb from gomorrah and she if she can wear it laugh.gif... because, she's about that useful now without her shotgun... maybe if i finish her quest, it will unlock a better shotgun, which will default to her inventory... one can only hope...

----------

glitches, glitches, glitches, and freezes... i encountered the bugs last night, and i am not talking about the bloat flies or cavadors... characters getting stuck, walking underneath the ground, saying nothing, popping on screen right in front of me, etc... it was pretty bad last night... i think obsidian better get cracking on a PS3 fix... and maybe they can fix this cassidy shotgun glitch too sad.gif...

----------

i am just going to go recruit boone again... i fired him because i wanted to recruit cass... but now that cass is about worthless, i'll pick him up again... and maybe i'll go save ED-E... or maybe i'll go save rex biggrin.gif... all i know is i have a long and productive day ahead of me with new vegas... and i plan on knocking out some more side quests... i need to do some more exploring and find a way to knock out these dozen or so quests active in my que... it's a bit ridiculous, there's too many missions to choose from!! where do i begin!! biggrin.gif...
Pieface
Just got to the strip, and to say I'm disappointed is a bit of an understatement sad.gif And that little kid Max in freeside is pissing me off. I can't even pickpocket a little kid.
