Does any body else often wake up to find their John has been sleepwalking and moved himself and his campsite about a mile from where you set it?

I do. mellow.gif
DuPz0r
Every time dude!
asthenia
Good to know it's not just my Marston who has sleep issues!

Ast and his useless topics....
Massacre
I know, right? I fucking hate stupid topics.

That's in the asylum where its allowed fagface.

In the spirit of an actual discussion, I think the idea of a campsite was a fantastic one. Being able to save, change outfit and warp anywhere you want on the map. I remember before I knew you could do that it was taking me forever to get to destinations.

That being said I dont always use it. Traveling through the country killing animals and doing random events is always fun.
asthenia
I've fast travelled once, and this isn't useless, it's banter.

Diotard.
ViceMan
I've only used a campsite once or twice, mainly when I was trying to complete the kill a bear/cougar with a knife challenge.

Being allowed doesn't mean it's not stupid.

Besides, this topic is about a glitch, so it's constructive. Ignore the fact that he could've posted it in the glitch topic.

I think they should have camps in GTA IV. Like a pop-up Wendy house you pop open and save anywhere in LC with...

I'm fairly convinced doing Red Dead has given R* plenty ideas for GTA. They kinda started it with Gay Tony, with the ability to replay missions and stuff, but I'm sure they'll add loads more of the new features into GTA like unlimited random side-jobs and quick saving etc.

Definitely, the Ballad felt like the beginning of this generation's next GTA, it had a larger fun-factor too, and they'll definitely take away a lot more from Red Dead... I think quick-saving should be in a toilet stall. cool.gif

I use the camping save fairly regular, especially after killing a ton of animals and collecting their pelts/meats.

One too many times I have gone on a hunting spree and then been killed by a cougar or bandit and lost everything.

Same. I literally went hunting for like 4 hours, then fell off a cliff and died and lost it all. Was SERIOUSLY pissed off.

Apparently if you use the horse deeds, they're a quick way to save the game without advancing time. Never bought one yet, but from what I've read on other forums, if you use one it auto saves and you'll respawn at your nearest hideout if you die.

I actually noticed that but never actually used it for that. Buy a horse deed. It's worth it to always have a kick ass horse at your whim.

I've used this trick a few times, it's quite handy for hunting, plus you can do it anywhere, anytime.
Hardcore Ottoman
Yeah, I use my white stallion dead all the time now.
PabloHoneyOle
So the deeds basically just summon a fresh horse - and save the game? I'm assuming they can be used multiple times.

I just bought one yesterday for the Kentucky Thorough-bred and used it once last night to get the new horse. I didn't check to see if it's still in my satchel.
asthenia
Yeah they stay in your satchel.

Infanate horses, yay. Now when one strangely faints and does a frontflip I can just call for another. clap.gif

LMAO! Burger Shot - Shit & Save!
ViceMan
So expect the next GTA to feature a cowboy protagonist jumping out of an exploding helicopter and parachuting down onto a horse, then being chased down by goons in an Infernus and blowing them up with a single well placed bazooka strike.
