Wanted
Achieve the highest personal rank in multiplayer

----------------------------

...it's taken me damn near two years to get to level 10 in multiplayer... to get the "wanted" trophy...

1.) still worth the price of admission... to me, it's still the funnest online game...

2.) why was it so fucking hard to reach level 10?!?

i don't go online THAT often (once twice a week) but, i've played the hell out of GTA IV when i do go online, maybe almost 50% of the time i am online... but, it took me as long as it took to go from 1 to 9, as it did to go from 9 to 10... and that totals nearly two years... playing mostly deal breaker, which is the greatest mode in the game... a mission with so many possibilities, so many variables, so many ways to change the dynamics... a true sandbox mission for a sandbox game...

bravo on the challenge R* but, fuck you R* on the challenge wallbash_red.gif... lol nah, like i said, well worth the price of admission biggrin.gif...

I find that to be exactly what happened since 10 is twice the cash level of 9. wink.gif

Congrats bOnEs - I've wasted most of my time in free mode so never really made much money, I think I'm level 5 or 6.

same. I'm only like 2 or 3. I don't think I'll ever move up more than 1 from here.

and it took FOREVER to achieve... the cool thing about it is the hooker outfit you unlock biggrin.gif... but, also the gold star next to your name... that always looks good in a match... but, so does the hooker...

you'd be surprised how fast you move through the lower levels...

I think that I was 7, not that I care what rank I am. Haven't played IV in ages, online or otherwise.
Ex-PS Fanboy
I don't even know. I'm what, 4? I could never get that into online mode.
bOnEs
yea, and the fact that you get no money from free-roaming hurts your chances to level up too... but for me, i still think GTA IV is the best online game since i still have friends i know in real life still playing it... so, that's probably what kept me striving for level 10...
PabloHoneyOle
Congrats.

After grinding away in MP, I soon realized this is an achievement I will NEVER get. What was your game of choice for racking up the cash?
Massacre
Me is level tree. Me no try get a cheev mint.
bOnEs
deal breaker was the game of choice, stoic... i mixed it up between the co-op missions and deathmatches and races and stuff but, i earned the majority of my money playing deal breaker... i still can't believe it took me 2 years... one of my friends achieve this in 6 months after release...

i didn't play it to rack up the cash, i played deal breaker for the fun... if i was going that route, i would of done what every single fucking person that plays GTA IV did and that's grind out a bunch of shitty hangman's NOOSE missions for cash... seriously, that mission sucks...

no, me and my friends played the hell out of deal breaker because it was the most diverse mission available online... plus, it was a ton of fun...
TreeFitty
Yeah cops in NOOSE drop loads of $$$.

not nearly enough... the only reason why that mission is a money maker is because you can beat it 2:30... deal breaker takes at least 7 minutes to beat... that's why i like it, there's more to do than just killing a bunch of cops and fleeing in an annihilator...
Ex-PS Fanboy
I personally hate Deal breaker. I usually play cops n robbers, I found that game extremely entertaining. Same with Bomb da Base II
PabloHoneyOle
Cops and Robbers is my game of choice as well. And Freeplay.

Probably playing some serious GTA this weekend.
bOnEs
i never really got into cops and robbers... seemed like fun but, i never put any time into it... plus, playing with friends we always wanted to play something cooperative...

i know... i was talking about cooperate objectives, as in, everyone on the same team... there's only 3 of us playing anyways which would put one of us on the opposite team...

i got mine in the only team deathmatch me and analogkid ever played in... i thought at first i killed someone from R*...
Ex-PS Fanboy
I need to play with Analog sometime. Best time i had online was with him and some other guy on free roam on happiness island.

Fucking Newspaper Stand....

i started getting messages from randoms asking me if worked for R*... i always said yes, then blocked them biggrin.gif... but, after most of the people found out how that trophy worked, i stopped getting he messages laugh.gif...
