I haven't even played it. mellow.gif
Massacre
That's because you bought the wrong console.
ThomasH
Nobody!? ohmy.gif
Shame on you!!

Massacre
I rarely 100% any game. San An was worth it, I got plenty of rewards along the way.
Jacko
That's an awesome 100% completion card you've made ThomasH it must've taken some time making that masterpiece. I do have question concerning Ballad of Gay Tony and I dont know if this is the right topic for it but I'll ask anyway. When trying to achieve 100% status for all the storylinemissions is it okay to watch the cutscenes or do I have to skip them to save time? I love watching cutscenes, because playing a GTA-game doesn't feel the same without watching the cutscenes first before starting a mission.
TreeFitty
I've never known a GTA where skipping the cutscenes prevents 100%.

I think he means the 100% completion for each mission.

Separate from the game 100% completion, Psy lays out some
good ideas and tips to use for achieving this on each mission
walk through on the main page.

Each mission has certain requirements such as vehicle and player damage,
over all time of mission play, etc. and that is what Jacko90 meant.
Still, speeding up the play by skipping the cut scene won't assist in
the timing goal, as the timer starts *after* the cut scene.

When you complete the storyline of the game, it allows you
to now go back and re-play any mission, in order to try and
get the 100% mission requirements. Once you fulfill a certain
requirement such as mission time, the next time you re-try,
you will not have to beat that particular parameter if you passed.

Example: There is one mission where you have to knock someone
off of a boat in 7 seconds. Once you do that, next try you won't have
to worry about it, just the remaining parameters of the mission.
TreeFitty
ah, I see what he was saying now. sleep.gif
Jacko
I cant complete the mission "Going Deep" 100% because I always lack that "bomb hidden" criteria even though I plant the bomb in front of the car on the bumper. Why in the hell the game cant count the bomb to be hidden?
killer66
i got 100% 6 days after i got it (not missions)
Jacko
Well obviously the game is super easy when you're trying to only accuire the percentages but I want to get all the fucking achievements and it has been a pain in the ass completing some of these missions perfectly. smile.gif
Jacko
Sorry for doubleposting but I decided to join the 100% Club since I completed the game 100% like over a week ago. Yeah bitches! thumbup.gif

Nice work Jacko. cool.gif

I still can't get the stupid champagne challenge lol.

This is turning out to be what QUB3D was for me in GTA:IV.

Yeah I hated QUB3D too because it seemed impossible to achieve 100% because of stupid puzzlegame but luckily I managed to complete the task with the help of some Youtube-videos. laugh.gif Have you tried looking videos on how to complete the champagne thing?

Can only find brief write-ups but no FAQs etc.
Only a few crap videos, but their pink marker fills up fine, and fast.
I think it's my thumb skills - not my controller.

Rotating the Right Thumbstick is doing nothing basically.
The pink meter/marker barely ever moves.

Message says speed up or slow down,
do whatever it says, still pink marker - nothing.

It's nothing like the arm wrestling in
The Lost and Damned. I get 100% in all
GTA games, up until this POS side mission.

EDIT: Got it, 20 or so tries later.
I should write a fu^&*ng FAQ on this thing now. laugh.gif

There's nothing wrong with my controller,
I guess I just don't have the thumb strength.

My [XB360] trick, as a right handed player:

1) Hold the controller in left hand like a dagger, so it is basically now
side ways and rotated 90 degrees. Instead of the regular left hand position.

2) Now either hold it close to your chest or against something else solid.
LT to start, skip cut senes. A to open the bottle, pass on the spraying.

3) MASH the f^&*ng right thumb stick down with palm of right hand.
Rotate slow with the palm keeping pressure up, and the pink meter fills up.

What a joke of a side mission.

Now at 98.57% completion, with only the cage fighting remaining,
I'm sure it will take me a few weeks to pull off the A and Y moves avoiding the weapon guys.
So far I can get up to the guys with the weapons and then it's over.

By the way big ups, kudos, and good karma to you Jacko for getting 100% in all the missions.
That shit is the hardcore and will take me years to accomplish, all the best to you.
Jacko
Great tips for achieving the champagne challenge completion and might just try them when playing the game next time 100%. Cage fightin was a challenge for me too, especially the mission "Mammas Boy" where I got too much damage because of lacking the counterskills and when the Cage Match sidemission opened I had to try it over ten times or so. I always got knifed by those dudes with the blades because I didn't know how to make countermoves even if I tried pressing the right buttons like the A-button. It was just difficult to press it accurately and fast enough with the same time as your opponent strikes you. But in overall if you ask me I think TBOGT has more fun sidemissions than The Lost and Damned.

Hey make a guide about it into the Ballad of Gay Tony Guides-section and title it "How to beat champagnecontest".

You are added, Image will be up soon! smile.gif
ViceMan
I did the champagne challenge first time. And the dancing too, even though I never read the instructions.
Massacre
For some reason, I can't fail the champagne challenge. I've fucked up miserably and still won.
ViceMan
Just 100%ed the first mission, doubt i'll continue the trend for every other mission though, although I did get the 100% golf accuracy goal.
ThomasH
I'm working on 100% on the PS3 now.

Finished;

Story Missions
All Base Jumps
Cagefights.

It's going well. smile.gif

ViceMan
Done cage fighting and 30 drug wars (explosive shotgun spawns at the house.) Might finish the base jumps yet. But i'm going back to TL&D, haven't played it since I finished the story, and that was the day I bought it.
