Has anyone played this yet? I'm just installing my trial copy now, if it's worth the 12.99 I'm definitely buying it. The graphics look amazing. The reviews haven't been that good from what I've seen. It's apparently repetitive, but I'm still going to give it a try.

Edit;

I've just played the demo, and don't be fooled by the 30minute countdown, you can only play to a certain point. It's definitely fun, I played a Rorschach because I prefer his street style. Nite Owl II has probably got some cool moves too, he relies on gadgets more. You can collect pick up's for new moves, I unlocked a knock down move, Bull Rush, the ability to throw people, and another move, all pretty cool, but it relies on button combo's. The graphics ARE amazing, and it's voiced by the actors from the movie too, another plus. I'd say about 7/10, the kind of game you pick up when you just wanna fucking kick some ass for awhile. At the select character stage there's a "Press Start to Join" so you can play with a friend too, but no online co-op.

Will I buy it? Maybe. But not just now.

Let me know.

I was thinking about getting this, but all the reviews I've heard are shit. But they could just be fanboys bitching.

Well it seems its a cheap game. Get what you pay for.
asthenia
Yeah it is a cheap game and you do get what you pay for. See above for my own review. It's nothing magical or spectacular.
bOnEs
yup, just another money making scam on the good name of a hit movie... happens at least a dozen times a year... especially with the disney movies... anything for a quick buck...
asthenia
I wouldn't call it a money making scam, it's just a cheap beat'em'up prequel.

Atleast they haven't put it in a box and charged us 45 for it.

Speaking of that:

It was a shit game. But turn on God Mode and its fun as hell.
Why?
Because it was way too easy to die on it.

And on topic, I saw videos and stuff for TEiN.
For an arcade game I was impressed.
Dont know if I wanna buy it though.

Ex-fucking-actly.
ENVi3
it reminds me of one of those old beat-em-up (or hack-n-slash) games ... i played the demo twice. I'm not sure how i would see any real variations from what i saw on the demo.

wasn't as boring as the other movie games, i sorta would consider it .... but I've juts got better uses for $20
asthenia
That's the way I'm feeling Envie, I did really enjoy mashing up the cons though.
Mr Pink
Tried the demo, thought it was ok. Not worth $20 for a 2 hour beat 'em up game.
PabloHoneyOle
Anyone end up purchasing this game?

My brother actually did and I played it at his place. It was pretty awesome.
PabloHoneyOle
I think I'm going to pick it up. I've only heard good things from people who've actually played it.

Sure, it gets repetitive, but so do most games. That's why I have more than one game. Variety.
DiO
Im going back to my bros and playing it again but we are going to switch up which characters we be.
PabloHoneyOle
I just picked this up at Gamestop today for $20 brand new.

I'm hoping good things; I know it's just a Beat 'Em Up but I'm looking forward to it as such.
bOnEs
if it's got some good rorschach one-liners, it might be worth the purchase biggrin.gif... even though it's supposedly a 2 hour affair...
PabloHoneyOle
As a Watchmen fan, I know I will enjoy it.

When it becomes boring or too repetitive; I'll put it down and play something else until I'm ready for some more beat em up action. I've played the demo for the first game and didn't mind it at all; I'm just glad I didn't pay to download the first episode; the disc with the two episodes cost me the same as one episode would have.

Even if it's terrible; I should be able to make my money back on eBay. If it's a keeper; I'll let you know.
DiO
I played part 2 at my bros. You get to beat the fuck out of ninja hookers. Its pretty hilarious.
ENVi3
played the demo to part II, and it just somehow made me want to get it more, but part of me knows it looks like it's just the same repetitive action and it's short, and probably pretty easy - and it was just made to make a quick buck off fans.
when both episodes drop price (preferably to half), i will definitely pick them both up.
PabloHoneyOle
I started playing this last night and so far it's nothing but badass. The combat is fluid and while it's limited, there is a level of skill to the timing and handling of the bad guys. The reverses and finishing moves are great; nothing better than snapping necks and arms like twigs. The best part of the game is being able to play as Rorschach. I'm sure Nite Owl II is cool too, but Rorschach's style of fighting is brutally awesome.

The graphics are very good and the both the environments and character models are beautifully detailed. The storyline is presented in cutscenes that look like they came straight from the graphic novel. The music sets a good ambiance and is nothing more than it needs to be. The dialogue is great and as some one mentioned earlier, the Rorschach one-liners are great.

I really enjoy this game, it reminds me a lot of Final Fight; which was my arcade game of choice as a child. Cruising the mean streets, dispatching waves of baddies with bare fists and the occasional dropped crowbar. There's nothing complex about the game, it's just a great beat-em-up; a better version of classic games like Double Dragon, only featuring one of the baddest ass characters ever, Rorschach.

For $20, this looks to be one of the best additions to my gaming collection. I'm just glad I didn't drop $20 on the first episode when it was available for download back in March. I'd have buyers remorse like a motherfucker.

Yeah, if I had a PS3, I would have definitely gotten that. Is it the Director's Cut? I've been meaning to create a topic about how awesome the extra footage in the Director's Cut made the movie. Stuff that was missing from the book but came to almost full realization in the extended scenes.

Fucking awesome.

Very nice.

I don't know why I didn't know about that bundle before, it's like not advertised at all.
The only way you would find it is if you wanted to buy the disc version of the game.
