Mac vs. PC (PIC)

I found this pretty funny because it's partially true - at least before the transition to Intel.

Being a fanboy about computer equipment only confirms you're a nerdy virgin.

I have my iMac (Intel Based, 20" Silver) for everyday use and my Macbook for travel...I also use my SLI PC for gaming (shock horror). but I tend to use my 360 for gaming...SLI Rig is collecting dust sad.gif

Mac's have their advantages over Windows Based PCs and PCs have their advantages over Macs. I could'nt live without either my Macs nor my PC.

I agree with that. The only thing I don't really like about Mac is the fact that I can't build one. Do they still have proprietary hardware or has the switch to Intel changed that?

Well can someone tell me what these differences are, and why do they not just make something with the best of both worlds? Learn me, learn me now. I myself never really understood macs, I grew up having them in school and never liked them, hated it most when I had to use one for my Graphic Communications class (was new macs too), mostly because I am used to PC tho.

You can Build one =/. Forgotten what its known as, but it is frowned upon I think. Also you need the right equipment to do it.

^you're thinking of the OSx86 project. It's not illegal, so you're allowed to talk about it here. It only breaks Apple's EULA which is a civil document, not a legal one.
