Yeah, there is more hardware information you could have listed, but with the information you have:

I assume Pentium 4? processor 1.6GHz
512mb RAM
60gb HDD (which doesn't really affect performance unless you're almost maxed, you'll need 18gb free for GTA IV)
16MB video card

Your computer won't nearly have enough RAM to support GTA IV. To run it properly, you'll need a good 2GB (2000+MB) of RAM, a dual core processor (2.8GHz recommended), and a video card with at least 512MB video memory that supports DirectX 10.

Your PC will run GTA IV, but probably very badly. Sorry. sad.gif

No, we linked to the same topic, but you didn't give him any other information. I made it so my attempt to help and the topic was in one post, big deal.

Yeah, that should be just enough to run the game decently. You won't be running on the highest settings, but you will probably be able to play the PC version of the game without any problems. You don't have the recommended amount of RAM, but I think what you have should be fine minimally. Chances are you'll probably be maxing out your RAM, which could slow the game's loading times down and will probably cause a lot of objects to pop up/load late.

Just take into account that no one has actually played the game other than Rockstar, so no one actually knows how well the game will run on any given hardware. We can only assume.

Hey Dedeleko your thinking was right. 1gb is very doubtful for play it. 2gb will run nicely.

Most of the newer games are using around 2gigs of RAM now. When you save up the money, you should go for 4gigs. That will cover you for a few years. Start thinking ahead so you don't have to worry about it later.

going for 4gb will also means you will need get 64bit os, to read the memory correctly and to take the full advantage.
