I just saw one of the greatest shows of my life. Fuck, man. I'm so drunk right now I can't think straight. What happened.... uhhhh.... Yeah man they played the greatest shit ever. All my favorite songs and some other greats from their old albums. They played some amazing covers too, like The Who's "Young Man Blues" (Incredible cover,) "Hocus Pocus" by Focus, (Dave didn't yodel, damn it.) And a little short segment of "Red Barchetta" by Rush (FUCK YEAH!)
Taylor played a crazy magical super terrific drum solo as well.
And here's the best part, guys. We had some guest appearances. Phil Anselmo came onstage. PHIL FUCKING ANSELMO!!!!! He didn't sing anything, him and Dave just joked around a bit. Another guest appearance was the man, the legend. CHRIS SQUIRE!!!! The god damn bass player from Yes. One of the greatest bass players I know. What a fucking surprise. He played a song and went backstage, the old bastard. Anyways, I took about 200 pictures. I'm gonna post that shit tomorrow after I crash tonight. Keep tuned in. This was the best fucking concert. I beat the shit out of some drunk fuck who spit on my girlfriend. It was fun. I like fighting. I also enjoy corn dogs. I think I'll go get some of that shit.
ALSO! Mr. Pat Smear played a lot of songs with them biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif It was incredible.

Here's the set list:
Aurora
The Pretender
My Hero
Times Like These
Up In Arms
Learn To Fly
Young Man Blues(!!!)
Long Road To Ruin
Let It Die
Stacked Actors (w/ Long-ass Drum Solo)
Hocus Pocus(!)
Skin And Bones
Cold Day In The Sun (w/ Chris Squire)
But Honestly
Everlong
Monkey Wrench
Then we cheered for an encore for like 5 minutes and they played
Big Me
New Way Home
All My Life

The amount of songs was a bit disappointing. Every time I see Rush, they play a 3 hour set with NO OPENING BAND. Foo played about half of that and Rush is in their 50's. (Rush rules)

Check back here soon for a litter of wonderful pictures.

I saw Tenacious D and Rage Against the Machine, now that was immense. I wouldn't get too drunk at a gig if it was me though, I'd rather remember it tongue.gif

Philly didn't sing? What a lazy bastard.

My brother saw them a few weeks back in Toronto at the Virgin Mobile Festival. I would have gone but I don't listen to Foo Fighters and the tickets where just under 200 bucks.

Cold Day in the Sun. He didn't really get too showy. He just played the regular bass line. I was hoping a remake of Roundabout or something or a bass solo. He didn't really do anything impressive. It was just freaking awesome to see him play.

It would have been even better if drummers from Rush and Yes took the duties for Foo. That would be awesome as fuck! People don't realize how experimental Yes was back then.

Hell yeah! If Neil Peart were to ever be in the same room as me I'd pass out and soil myself.
I bring spare pants to my Rush concerts.
