I just saw one of the greatest shows of my life. Fuck, man. I'm so drunk right now I can't think straight. What happened.... uhhhh.... Yeah man they played the greatest shit ever. All my favorite songs and some other greats from their old albums. They played some amazing covers too, like The Who's "Young Man Blues" (Incredible cover,) "Hocus Pocus" by Focus, (Dave didn't yodel, damn it.) And a little short segment of "Red Barchetta" by Rush (FUCK YEAH!)
Taylor played a crazy magical super terrific drum solo as well.
And here's the best part, guys. We had some guest appearances. Phil Anselmo came onstage. PHIL FUCKING ANSELMO!!!!! He didn't sing anything, him and Dave just joked around a bit. Another guest appearance was the man, the legend. CHRIS SQUIRE!!!! The god damn bass player from Yes. One of the greatest bass players I know. What a fucking surprise. He played a song and went backstage, the old bastard. Anyways, I took about 200 pictures. I'm gonna post that shit tomorrow after I crash tonight. Keep tuned in. This was the best fucking concert. I beat the shit out of some drunk fuck who spit on my girlfriend. It was fun. I like fighting. I also enjoy corn dogs. I think I'll go get some of that shit.
ALSO! Mr. Pat Smear played a lot of songs with them It was incredible.
Here's the set list:
Times Like These
Up In Arms
Learn To Fly
Young Man Blues(!!!)
Long Road To Ruin
Let It Die
Stacked Actors (w/ Long-ass Drum Solo)
Skin And Bones
Cold Day In The Sun (w/ Chris Squire)
Then we cheered for an encore for like 5 minutes and they played
New Way Home
All My Life
The amount of songs was a bit disappointing. Every time I see Rush, they play a 3 hour set with NO OPENING BAND. Foo played about half of that and Rush is in their 50's. (Rush rules)
Check back here soon for a litter of wonderful pictures.
