I just got a laptop with a GeForce 8400 graphics card.

Is is possible to upgrade the graphics card in a laptop?
FuddMan
Possible? Yes.
Recommended? No. Especially not in a new laptop since it'll void the warranty.

well, what about external ones... anyone done this sort of thing before?
FuddMan
External graphics don't exist. It's a nice thought but the transfer speeds over USB/Firewire just aren't fast enough to cope with it.

In laptops yes but i wouldnt cuz warranty.
