I've always been a huge fan of the band, but it seems they're just exploding in the media lately with the whole Rock Honors thing. I'm watching Amazing Journey: The Story of The Who right now, and thought I'd open up the topic.
This band is amazing. Keith Moon... You show me a drummer better than this man (excluding Neil Peart.) And every one of them is the best of the best at every one of their positions in the band.
I actually flew out to L.A. for their Rock Honors show on July 12th. One of the best shows I have EVER seen. They were so flippin' energetic! It's just so unbelievably sad that Keith Moon wasn't on that kit. So much less power on the drums without that man, R.I.P. It was such an amazing show, though. They played "Baba O'Riley", "Who Are You", "Behind Blue Eyes", "2000 Years", "You Better You Bet", "My Generation", "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "Tea & Theatre." The recorded concert airs this Thursday on VH1 at 9/8 Central.
Did anybody else see this concert? Ever seen them previously? Let's hear it!
