In its financial statement for the second quarter of its financial year ending April 30, Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. today announced that they had moved the first episodic release of GTA IV, to be exclusively available on the Xbox 360, from the fourth quarter ending October 31, 2008 to the first quarter of 2009 - spanning over November, December and January.

"The Company is providing guidance for the third fiscal quarter ending July 31, 2008 and fourth fiscal quarter ending October 31, 2008 and is raising its guidance for the fiscal year ending October 31, 2008 as detailed below. Fiscal 2008 guidance reflects the release of the first installment of episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 in the first quarter of fiscal 2009 instead of the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008 in order to provide a better balance in Take-Two's release schedule."

Prior, it was hinted that the first episodic content pack could be available on Xbox Live as early as August of this year, which will contain hours of new game play. Chances are good that the release will still be available in the calendar year of 2008 though, near the year end holiday schedule.

This really is a shame sad.gif I for one was looking forward to getting some DLC, be it not the full Xbox version, but some at all since i'm starting to get bored.
