DiO
That certianly is awesome. Client? Ya do that for a living eh? I want to get into animation.
ctlfreak
Yea i run a production company. me and a buddy started it in 02.

what type animation you intrested in?
DiO
Well the only thing I really did so far was a couse in highschool where I made a few animations and they where done in lighwave. Nothing spectacular.

I want to get into video games.
Indy
I did some pretty basic animation as well. But tbh 3D modelling is better. I'd love to be a map/level designer.
ctlfreak
wish my highschool would have had Lightwave. I had to learn it on my own. Hell the college i went to didnt even have a 3d package in thier broadcasting dept. waste of money if you ask me, they didnt have half the software most places use nor did they teach anything worth knowing.

i never got into leveel design. just bored me. i play games not make em. but hey if thats what you like then go for it. if you dotn already you should start making some for online games like ut and such. sometimes people get picked up by companies based on mods they created. if i was in the game industry id rather beta test than create. but i like film work way more anyway. im not a big fan of modeling and animating but it comes with the territory. i like being on set more than anything

DiO
mods eh? Anything I make would probably make the game look shittier but hey, it would still be cool. Perhaps when I get a new computer and HL2 ill mod that up.

edit

Heres the 3d stuff i've made so far

Bit late to start making mods for HL2 it is really old, if you want a successful mod you get a developers pack and start making it before or as soon as the game comes out.

The humming bird looks really good, not real due to the flatness of the model however the skin looks good. Would be better with the animation as the movement would mean you wouldn't notice that.

I agree with Psycho. To add to that tho, the 'blur' for the wings seems (in my opinion) to be making the wings appear to flap side to side rather then up and down.
