My monitor is 20 inch..
Yesterday i find a deal for 30 inch monitor..Dell..
It is really large and cool...But it is expensive for me..
Has anyone try 30 inch monitor?

Pretty pointless unless you are graphic designing, or a professional gamer, I would much rather have a 40-50 inch TV at 1080p.

You'll get a much higher res out of the monitor.

He'll need a GX2 to run any game smoothly at native res though.

(I think 30" = 2560 x 1920 (XHD Extreme High Definition))

Well done..........that doesn't make it not pointless, no one needs a resolution that high except in special cases.

For the price, why not go for it.

(He said it was a bargain)

Because in no way is that a bargain.

For an extra $20 you can have a 50" 1080p HDTV.

That is despite the fact he never said it was a bargain, he said it was expensive.

I don't really want to get into a big argument, but generally monitors are a lot better.

TV: HD (Not even, it is actually 720P)
Monitor: XHD

TV response time < Monitor Response time

Better contrast ratios etc.

The only thing the TV has got is size.

Anyway. I still think monitor.

That monitor has a 11ms response time hardly great.

Yes that is my whole point, you might as well have a bigger TV than a monitor with a pointlessly high resolution.
JustGetAnApp
It seems that the TV >> big monitor..

For the price yes it is an easy decision, monitors such as the one you show are better as they have a better resolution, however it is a pointlessly better resolution for 99% of people, myself included, you might as well have a worse resolution and a bigger screen.
Pecnut
Well my experience is that having two monitors is better than having one large one if you like multitasking (read typing an essay while being on Facebook).

typing an essay while being on Facebook.

Everyone knows that doesn't work.............

I agree on the idea of two monitors though, it is useful, however having a bigger screen is better for watching films and the such like.
