Some of the songs from Radio Del Mundo had videos, but pretty neat foreign music videos.

Dance Raja Dance from an Hindu 1987 musical
Ofra Haza-Im Nin Alu

BTW, Radio Del Mundo had neat Middle Eastern songs...even though I don't know what they are all about. laugh.gif

Woah, thanks for the video links! I really like Radio Del Mundo, where my friends don't.
"Dum Maro Dum" by Asha Bhosle is also featured in the film "Hare Rama, Hare Krishna".
It's pretty controversial for back in the 70's, a lot of weed and hash smoking during the song.
She's scored hundreds of other Indian films as well. She's like 73 now and still singing.

I know. Even though they were not necessarily music videos, but films that were really disguised in the form of music videos way that told stories before MTV. You know, Method Man did sampled that song from her, though. Though I think she is regarded as the Queen of Bollywood. Some of the early 70s India/Arab films were in the form of music videos, even though they were films in a sense. Though I am surprised at their length: Some were 140 minutes long or much longer.

Though they were pretty interesting videos for its time...

Awesome, nice find man. Thanks again. wink.gif

Yes, Asha is definitely the queen of Bollywood film scores,
and she has a sister that is extremely popular in India as well.
The actress that is lip-synching is Zaneet, what a babe. (30 years ago)

Cool. I didn't think those videos would be on youtube.

btw, i seem to have trouble with the links to youtube videos with firefox. They work fine with IE, but i get the source code (or whatever it is) instead whenever i click a link using firefox. I have to copy the video title and search for it at youtube instead.

Anyone else have this problem?

Probably not.

Copyright, removed by poster, etc....YouTube videos expire, or get removed, it happens. (Note the date of the post)
I stopped bookmarking YouTube videos ages ago, after the legendary "Canon by Funtwo" expired.
Kamahl
those are real songs so i dont find it surprising that they have videos...

anyway, this forum is pretty dead, i thought there would be more people talking about it even if it was released 2 years ago...

Yup.
Many of the other radio stations have old videos as well.
I can't get enough of Kelli Ali when she was with the Sneaker Pimps.
She's on about her solo career now, some cool videos of her there as well.
LCS had very cool radio, as did GTAIII...LC being a different scene than Vice City or San Andreas.
