I regret accidently damaging the PC version of Vice City, but since I now have the X-Box, what is the differences between them? Just curious to know....

Well PC version is highly modable, may look or work nicer depending on your system specs, but if all you want is the main game and such, then you wont be missing anything with the X version.

Bet you didnt plan on a reply this fast =o

I sort of damaged that PC CD and brought the X-Box.....the only difference from the PC was the smoothness. X Box had a bit jerky motion.

The Xbox version is moddable to , you can even use the LC mod for Vice City.
Robert Lynch
Really? Shows how much I know about games in general. Sometimes I always thought if you buy a different system of the same, there would be major differences.
Blaze-uK
Also the Xbox version appears to be more shiny on reflections and it has trails as does the PS2 version.
Robert Lynch
And differences is that the cars a little realistic looking that the PC version. You could see the shine of the wheels itself.
SlickCriminal92
The character models have more polygons on them giving a more detailed look. drool.gif

Are you referring to the PC version?

Yeah it is modable, but not a whole lot... Thats why i said the PC version is highly modable, if you want the best experince and have the system specs, PC beats XBOX hands down. Then again PC still beats everything if you got top of the line comp... Which alot of people dont got. All depends.
Robert Lynch
And it's so rare to buy the PC in stores, too.

You dont need a top notch PC really , a average £300 PC should do the trick , Mine does with no hick ups.

No the xbox version.
Robert Lynch
So, in other words, you should be glad with the X- Box version, right?

Yeah, unless you wanna tweak every aspect of the game, the xbox version is the same, pc only good for extreme changes to the game, thow a lack of control on the PC version, so id say just for the fun experince xbox version is better suited.
Robert Lynch
I see. Thanks again. Right now, I don't think they are selling PCs right now of this version.

On the PC version an FBI Cheetah spawns behind the cop shop in Little Havana.
Also, the Hunter has auto-aim.

These may be on the XB version, but are definitely not on the PS2 version.
Robert Lynch
Also, you could the whole Vice City view pretty well.....what a beautiful view when on a helicopter.

That would be becoase of PC system specs able to be changed (can be changed even better out of game with a mod, thow specs become more of an issue then). To me the PCs have a crystal clear look thats somtimes to clear, like in SA you see pixal edges very easly becoase of the sharpness.
