Massacre
I meant in-game minutes for the stealth boy use.

Back when I was playing for the first time, while working on Blood Ties, I came across Crow and decided to do some trading. When I finished and exited the dialogue window, we were attacked by a Mister Gutsy. I was level three, so after it killed Crow and his guard and I ran out of 10mm ammo, I ran away into the grocery store in Northwest Seneca Staion, thinking it might not follow me. I was wrong. Now that I'm playing a new file on PC, I'm just stalking around NW Seneca once every couple of days, waiting for another Mister Gutsy to come along so I can get my revenge.

Tell me if im not the only one, but with fallout as i did with oblivion, i save the game very often, and especially when i see a terminal to hack or a safe to pick. I just save before i start a hack or a pick, and reload it after if i fail. I do this all the time, even if i have loads of picks. I just do it to save them!

It might just be some form of OCD, but please tell me if any of you do it lol.
Massacre
Yeah, I do the same thing.

lol, i never knew what the point of the pulse grenades were... i thought they were the chinese pistols of the explosives... pointless and useless laugh.gif...

Always stash up loads of those things. My first game I threw one at Deputy Weld early on. Cool colors.
I couldn't live without them, especially for the Robco mission, Vault-Tec HQ, and National Guard Armory.
IMHO, there is only one useful Chinese Pistol in the game the Zhu-Rong v418, priceless for gas filled rooms....

Good idea.
I went through my last 2 games collecting bobby pins into the hundreds but using only one, entire time.
Same querky syndrome but different category of OCD. Pick, back off, pick, back off, pick, back off - until open.

Same with terminals. Hack, back off, hack, back off, 3 times then rest. L0L back to hacking. laugh.gif

What I find odd is "average" locks and terminals can take me up to 2-3 minutes,
where as some of the max level of "very hard" locks and terminals I could get in seconds.
That is just strange, I never figured it out.

Well as stated in that link, this project wont interupt any other projects. i.e. an oblivion game.
So i'm happy to see this game through to the end.

VEGAS?!?!? YES!!!!!!!!!!!! I've always wanted a free-roaming Vegas-based game! And it being Fallout is icing on the cake!!! WOOOO!!

So. This game is becoming stressful, lol. I'm trying to get all trophies in one playthrough. Now it was easy at first, like being able to split Power of the Atom and Tennpenny Tower with saves, but now that I'm at Big Trouble With Big Town, Strictly Business, etc, it's getting really confusing. I may just have to do another playthrough huh.gif

yea, they brought aboard the original fallout crew to do this game... it'll still be setup like fallout 3 but, the writing and stuff will all be handled by the guys who created fallout in the first place... and that's a recipe for another great game... because, i don't want them to change the formula that fallout 3 delivered with gameplay... it was in my eyes, perfect... but, the writing definitely could of used some improvement... and some of the RPG elements need a bit more work but, this'll free up bethesda so they can focus on the next elder scrolls game...

You dumb jew, you can do all the missions in a single playthrough. Bookmark the Fallout Wiki and you're set. Just follow the guide in there. I think the most important thing is not to rush anything, just explore and discover. You have all the way up to the last mission to complete side quests.

well, they're fun to mess with, that's about it... lol, in one of my files i attempted to save timebomb with a shitty medical skill and killed him... it said i wouldn't be able to revive him but, "try anyways?"... sure, why not!! biggrin.gif...

i also once lured the super mutants by the semi truck near the town, into big town... that was pretty funny... but yea, there's no point to the town once you completed the quest...

one time when i brought sticky to big town, i equipped him with a plasma pistol, combat armor/helmet and shit... again no point at all... just something to do... i figured they'd need someone well prepared when the super mutants came back, which they never do...

haha laugh.gif, next time i play fallout 3 i'll head to big town and try it a few more times... just for you, you polygonal perv laugh.gif... i'll give her some credit though, she's one of the more interesting fallout characters...

speaking of bittercup, to everyone, who were your favorite characters? i'm holding my nominations for a minute because, i gotta think about that... i can think of three off the top of my head but, if i think harder other good characters will pop into my head...

---------------------------------

EDIT ok, had some time to think it through, here's my choices...

mayor maccready (little lamplight) - i loved this kid!! always talking shit and taking no shit... not even from mungo's laugh.gif... after only five minutes as mayor, princess got punched by maccready and has been mayor ever since... if only real life politics were solved like that...

mr. crowley (underworld) - just cause of all the mysteries and accounts that surround his quest... he was very mysterious, even the town of underworld felt the mysterious vibe too... lots of good work went into his character, and the mysteries of that particular quest...

jericho (megaton) - a fun guy to hang out with in the wastes... an over the hill raider who still had the itch to get out in wasteland and cause some chaos... always bitching and complaining, but always looking for shit to blow up...

almost included the old man in andale, sierra the quantum lady, and tammy hargrave... tammy has the best speech option of all characters when you can tell her, "there's no bad children, only bad parents" laugh.gif...
Massacre
My top three:

1. The crazies in Andale. I loved these incest cannibals and used the "I would've grabbed myself a snack, but that would've been rude" option after going into the basement. I still stole the 60 pieces of Strange Meat from the basement and shed, though.

2. Jaime, from the Dunwich Building. Not a very important character, but I loved gathering up those holotapes and piecing together his story. That whole building was amazing, and listening to Agatha's radio station makes it even creepier.

3. Eulogy Jones of Paradise Falls. Everything about this guy reminded me of Jizzy B. Except for that whole slavery thing, of course. I reverse pickpocketed some armor onto him just so I didn't have to kill him for his awesome suit. He should've been voiced by Charlie Murphy.

I appreciate that, my evil karma friend. While I may not play as evil, it never hurts to have evil friends in the right places. wink.gif
I'll pay for screenshots of her in Sexy Sleepwear of every angle, in minigun and assault rifle ammo...10,000 rounds okay?
Wait I noticed I have a surplus of 200 grenades, will throw those in with....300 sniper rounds...just for m'bud Bones.

Yes I'm a very polygonal perv, from way back in the days of Misty, Asuka, and Maria in GTA:III.
Don't get me started on Catalina in S.A., the one girl *everyone* hated....except of course, a polygonal pervert of ethnic loyalties.
Their dialog and accents helps make them hotter, of course. I love all the girls of GTA that everyone hated.
Same for Fallout 3. I even saw a thread on a Fallout forum for "The Babes of Fallout 3".........

Fallout 3 Favorites:

The Babes:

Reilly - Absolutely. That little smirk, her secret affair.....her hair...her ARMOR! wub.gif

Sierra - So innocent...I love changing that. She's amped on Nuka Cola.

Brailee Ewers - Hilariously retarded. I could do that crazy little knucklehead. Now bake me some cans.

Jenny Stahl - Serve me up some squirrel on a stick baby...and here have 400 ruined books for your trouble, girl.

Bittercup - My ho. I always go back and visit her for her gifts, and to rape her in her sleep. V-Bagging at its finest.

Sydney - I totally pwned her. Saved her sweet ass, escorted her to Underworld, where I always score her gun off her.

The Intellectuals/Others/Males:

Agatha
- For musical reasons. That old lady rips it up and SHREDS on the violin. Beats listening to 3Dog's voice.

Flak, not Shrapnel - Need to do some killin' huh? My girl always sits next to him while ripping him off for ammo.
They speak the same language, and he ALWAYS has the mini-nukes I crave, even as a good character.

Gallo - The cannibal ghoul, he's just a strange and weird character, with lots of great loot.

Uncle Leo - The nice super mutant. He is so real, and yet so scared.
I don't know why but maybe the way he addresses my character. "Hello, little sister!" ....She loves him.

Pinkerton - The real man of F03. Scientist, and the true founder of Rivet City. Brilliant recluse. He is the man.

Barney, the Security Guard for Black Mesa.....oh wait - wrong game, sorry.

There are so many cool and un-cool characters in this game. I just downloaded "The Pitt" and will play that now.
I'm a moderator at Fallout3Zone.com and looking for more of these cool ideas for topics, Bones.
This is a really good one, and now I'd like to see the characters that are not your favorites. (Who you hate)
Stop by that forum if you guys are really into the game. It's Fallout everything.

Note that forum is not even as cool as GTA4.TV, but then again what is?
Nothing could ever be as cool as GTA4.TV. Game On!

PabloHoneyOle
My Top 3 Characters:
Dad - How can you not fucking love having Liam Neeson as a father? Motherfucker was there at birth and sacrifices himself for the good of the wasteland... a strange foreshadowing... Plus, under the Jefferson Memorial there is a holotape that has a recording of him getting sexy with your mom. What a fucking pimp.

Agatha - Her broadcast was all I listened to after returning her violin. I couldn't stand "I don't want to set the world on fire" anymore. She saved me as much as I saved her. Plus the Blackhawk is like my 3rd favorite gun.

Tenpenny - Sure he's a rich white man; but motherfucker's got his own TOWER. In the fucking wasteland. And he snipes people from his balcony. My nigger.

Also, I made an OFFICIAL Fallout New Vegas Thread:

QUOTE(§ynch @ Mar 30 2009, 11:04 AM)
I'm waiting awhile before d/l-ing The Pitt.
Still may be updates ahead, there's already been one fix so far.

It's not bad, a little short, but the new quests combined with the added armor and weapons makes it just worth the 800 points. Collecting the ingots from the steelyard is going to take a while, and there's plenty of weapons and armor to be won from that. I love the Infiltrator, it's the perfect gun for my stealth character.

I finally got the Pitt. Got pwned a few dozen times at first. It's no Operation:Anchorage.
To be honest the Pitt is really reminding me of Manhunt right about now. The music is as well. cool.gif

My first play was like whoa is this Fallout or Manhunt? (I loved Manhunt but requires max stealth)
Started over, saving quite a bit now. This time got the sniper off the Pitt Bridge.
Disarmed all the mines, stashed any excess gear, going for Midea idea now.
Have to find Marco. That is the next goal regardless of any game goals.
Not gonna let the Trog waves stop me from getting all 100 ingots.

Massacre
The frustration that goes along with finding the ingots is well worth it. The Metal Blaster is a badass laser rifle (50+ damage per shot, I think), and I love my Tribal Power Armor.

Word of advice: There's a group of three ingots that are going to look unreachable (you'll know which ones I mean when you see them), you're going to have to break some bones hopping off the power plant to reach them. Also, there are quite a few groups of ingots that are in plain sight, but you'll miss them anyway.

Awesome, thanks Massacre.
I've read this same deal over and over in reviews.
As much as I love finding the GTA hidden packages on my own,
there is a video walk through specifically for those hard to reach ingots.
I think that I will be watching it within an hour or so from now.
Videos and the Fallout Wiki always help. Geez I hate having to need help.
My main goal now is to figure out how to return the first 10 to the guy.
Got the Auto-Axe. Game on.....fucking trogs.
PabloHoneyOle
Damn, I'm getting The Pitt in the next week or so, probably next payday. I'm on my 2nd playthrough right now, somewhere between Level 6 and 7. After I get to Level 8, I'm doing OP Anchorage just to get the Stealth Suit and Gauss Rifle. Then I'm taking my slut to the Pitt.

Is it true you can make .44 ammo at some point? What's the deal with that?
Massacre
Yeah, after you finish the main quest, you get access to the ammo press. Basically, you can either put in scrap metal (waste of scrap metal, save it for Walter) or any other type of ammo (like the 10k rounds of 5mm ammo for the minigun you don't use), and then you go to a nearby terminal and select the type of ammo you want to press.

Once you get to the final quest, think about what matters more to you: Badass Power armor (which you can sort of get from collecting ingots) or not fighting trogs all over the Pitt. That's all I can say about that without spoiling anything.

I'd love to turn all that useless minigun ammo into .44 bullets.

I forget the formula, but you don't get the same amount of ammo you put in.

The Fallout Wiki says every 15 rounds is 1 .44 round.

does anyone else have a problem of losing saved game files?! i lost my very first one, and i just lost my level 10 super duper evil character... now i am back at the beginning again, playing as a female hero since i no longer have a "good karma" file anymore... thank god i didn't lose my evil black guy file, easily the one i put the most time and effort into...

i think it has to do with me restarting games... i am now on probably my 6th playthrough... some of them were wasted efforts that never made it 10 hours but, something makes me think that i have a limit or something to how many save files i can have... can't really figure out why i lost my first one though, and why i just lost my last evil guy... and damn, i was really having a blast with my last evil guy, killing quest related characters and basically saying, "fuck the world" to everything... twas fun but, is now lost forever sad.gif...

I just completed The Pitt.

Badass Power Armor as well as killing all trogs all over the Pitt. Had to go for both.

Interesting how you can do the final quest in a
good (bad) karma or a bad (good) karma technique.
That in itself was very interesting.

Seen vids for both endings, I just went for the Wernher ending, instead of the Asher ending.

Finally got to go home. Took me a long time weighted down.
Went home with probably all the unique weapons and armor.

Most disturbingly, for the last few weeks, whenever thinking of
The Pitt, an old metal tune came to mind, Into The Pit by Fight.
Being a guitar player, it was the rhythm, bass, drums, and leads - not Halford and his vocals.
The tune has been haunting me for weeks. It's just a rocking metal tune.

Of course it's about the mosh pit - the best view of a band, as a customer.

It's just a fun tune I used to play with my band without vocals.
Gotta love instrumental-only versions of metal tunes.
We don't play together much anymore but we're all still gamers.

Rock on, and Game on. cool.gif
