It's easy, imo. Go and read some guides on gamefaqs.com.
Corkyboy
It's not easy, that is why there is a topic about it being difficult!
I can fly a tank no bother,it's just the shitty little Dodo that I can't fly!
It is because when I use the tank I fire the cannon backwards for extra momentum!
INzANE
I flew a Tank to Shoreside Vale before...... I hadn't even unlocked Staunton Island yet... =)

It is kinda funny though that u have played the game in 4 years, and have not learned to fly the dodo. It's just bit funny, not trying to flame u or anything like that.

I agree. It's almost impossible. My friend Collin got a record time of like 3 minutes before though!

the tip is to click down when sparks show and plain goes up.

hold up slightly-plane nosedives and it swooops up and down just never turn stick just press buttons
FX

this needs to be closed now wink.gif
INzANE
There is still some conversation left! He (Collin) also liked to fly into buildings..... He will be missed....
DavidOrtiz34
you know what I hate?

going over unique jumps with the dodo, while you're flying. It messes me up so bad!
The_End90
My record is 54 minutes 13 seconds.

The best way to fly it is to use these easy steps I made for you guys.

Its really not that hard.

1] Get in the Dodo at Shoreside Vale.

2] Go to the end of the Airstrip by the ocean in the back. (Not the end as in the end of the actual flying area)

3] Begin to fly.

4] hold the analog stick all the way forward.

5] When you see sparks under the plane, let go of the analog stick.

6] Then, slowly get yourself parallel to the ground. (not pointing towards the ground, or up towards the sky)

7] If you want to turn, just barely TAP the stick left or right slowly, thus allowing you to turn easily not causing you to spin out, which is bad.

8] The only bad thing about the Dodo is that when you take off and get yourself straight, as soon as you are parallel to the ground at the level, you really cannot increase your altitude, its very difficult, every time I've tried, I stalled.

Hope that helps. smile.gif

Flying the dodo is easy.

You know what is good if u can fly the dodo?

In that mission, S.A.M., instead of having to drive back the the construction yard with a huge wanted level after shooting down the plane..

I just flew back! roll2.gif

I always thought that was fun...

The easy way to fly the dodo is as end90 says at the airport. this is the way i do it.....

(it is easier on the PC to the PS2 but works on both)

-to go to the airport and get one of the dodos

-get on the runway and head down it at full pelt

-push down to push the nose of the plane into the deck. DONT USE THE STICK
(if you do a sideways view while your doing this you'll see your nose wheel sinking into the runway)

-hold down for a few seconds and then release the down key. The plane will then launch itself into the air

If you hold down too long, the sinking wheel will get stuck and the plane will flip over. The trick is releaseing the down key just before the plane tries to flip.

Once the plane is in the air always use the down button to raise the plane.

try never to touch the up key! (this will stall the plane)

When you press down and release the plane rises. then just gentle touches of the down key and left or right and you can fly for hours. again DONT USE THE STICK.

Once you can fly you can go see all the flaws in the graphics and even fly through the mountain behind shoreside vale. in the mountain you can see a hidden street and some places indicated on the map (the programmers jokes) cuntsville etc wink.gif

easy.....
The Hydra Sucks
Don't ever pull up.

My record is around 20 minutes...at which point I accidentally crashed into the ONE building in Staunton that's solid above the 5th floor. mad.gif
