Vice City Stories for PS2. Is it bad? Options

How good is the PS2 port of Vice City Stories? I read about its reception and it sounds bad. What's your opinion?

It's good. I imagine you can get it for about $5 too, so it's well worth the the damn money.

$5? Maybe I can find a used copy that cheap, but even used games usually cost twice that much.

GameStop sell new copies for $35. They do sell second hand games, but they don't have VCS now. (The exact same for LCS.)

Ebay is not an option.

There is also a big catch/challenge to this game, and you should read about
it in the VCS thread. When I went for 100% completion I found out one of the
main tricks to controlling the empires/business. Many bailed on it, and that may
be why it got bad reviews, they couldn't figure out how to control the empires.

The game is well worth whatever you pay, and maybe the toughest GTA game ever.
[Keeping in mind I have multiple 100% completions on them all except this one]

I happen to like 80s music.
I can't recall hearing anything about the business, so I don't think that's the only reason some gave it poor reviews. I think it had to do with the PS2 port.
But anyway I'm alot more tempted to buy it now.

The PSP versions were well-received, but people had a problem with the PS2 ports. Apparently people expected them to have PS2 graphics or something, like they didn't know what the fuck a port was. The PS2 ports of the PSP games were great, it was just a case of people getting their expectations too high for R*, as usual.

I think the PS2-ports outmatched the PSP-versions in graphical and visual matter of speaking. Only downsides for those versions is the lack of onlinemultiplayer but then again they're cheap.

VCS is the first GTA game to feature a Dokken song. (George Lynch, killer guitarist)
If memory serves me, as it usually does, there is also a Ratt song. (Warren DiMartini, killer guitarist)

and that was what many of my friends found to be a problem.
In the end, you just have to wipe the gangs all out. I thought it was great.
But then after 100% completion there is no one to fight with anymore.

Well, you can try and spawn some by driving their vehicles around....

Little lacy surprise pageant hmm I think it's a play on words that I don't understand. Lacy with a "c"? "Pageant"? I guess it doesn't matter, the article is clear on what kind of site that is.

Impossible? No, that is how we used to get the FIB Buffalo.
Go into the TW@ internet cafe, go on Little Lacy Paqeant, then go outside.
Might take a few tries but when the feds show up, kill them and steal their ride.
It's a rare vehicle usually only seen in like one mission.
Take it and drive to the Algonquin safe house, run inside and save.
Now you have the rare cop car.....but that's GTA:IV.

Little means a young one.
Lacy is like lace lingerie, it's lacy.
Pageant is a beauty contest.

Put them all together and you have an under age lingerie contest.
You have to listen to the song, it's hilarious. Girl is singing, a boy chimes in.

If you use the Tw@ in Algonquin, you can take the Buffalo right into the hole in the wall that surrounds the opening to the subway tunnel (the spot the bikers use in No Way on the Subway). Easy getaway.

I bought Vice City Stories today. Damn old games are still expensive! In US dollars we're talking $ 31.
