Always enjoyed good Horror movies. Wanted to know if there are any others interested in the genre.

It's getting very hard to find proper movies, it's a very demanding subject, pretty much all the movies Hollywood spits out are either remakes from other countries, or just plainly suck. Just in for the bucks.

Still, I watch pretty much anything, even the cheap stuff.

So lets see, a small list of movies that have impressed me positively from the top of my head:

-Audition (1999)
Japanese. I have no interest in the asian culture, I don't like anime bullshit nor do I find anything kawaii. But I have to give it to them, especially Koreans, they defo make the best movies in the genre.

Audition is a special movie, it's very psychological, a must in every good horror movie. There is a torture scene in the movie that leaves a mark. The story is pretty well told, top movie.

[Rec] (2007)
Spanish. REC takes a shot at the zombie act, with a bit of twist. It's very thriller-ry, and has great action. The end scene is fantastic.

Don't be put off by the label "Zombie" I just used there, even though I have a thing for Zombie movies, even the cheap ones (don't ask, i just find it more entertaining than cheap comedies or dramas or whatever other genre there is.), REC is very refreshing.

I believe Hollywood remade this movie, I haven't watched nor do I plan to, the original is fine.

-Funny Games (1997)
German. I might be going too far here, this isn't exactly HORROR. Still, it's a movie I like to recommend.

If you are so inclined, you can also watch the american remake version, I was impressed, it's almost a direct copy for those that don't like subtitles, and some of the acting, was superior.

-Shutter (2004)
Thailand takes a shot at horror, and it's a great start.

This one has some awesome scares, a well designed plot, and it's overall pretty good. Heard there's an american version now, heard it's pretty bad. Most asian movies might leave you feeling like the story doesn't make sense sometimes, and the dialect, even after nice translation, is very different from what we're used to. You will have to watch asian movies with an open mind, and understand the culture is vastly different.

That's all from now! Looking for nice recommendations myself!

Massacre - What you've just posted is sick and disturbing...

When Massacre is around, everything is violated... Whether it likes it or not.

Whenever I think of "human resources" Massacre immediately springs to mind.
