So I was looking at my join date t'other day (yes it's wrong, my original Duff account was registered on the 28th, with another account registered four days before that), and just had a quick think about just how long I've spent here.
I've just turned 20. When I registered I was 14 and a couple of weeks away from starting studying for my GCSEs. Now I'm in my second year at university with a shitty part time job on the side to fund life. I've been on this site for nearly a third of my life. I dunno about anyone else but that's quite scary, particularly when I think what I did then and what I'm doing now. God knows where I'll be in another six years - still on this site no doubt, just with a lot more money and a nicer car (hopefully...). I dunno why I made this thread. Just wondering if anyone else has ever thought about how much their life has changed in the time they've been shitting over the boards I guess. Any stories? --------------------  |

Eh, I joined when I was 18, now i'm nearly 23. I had been at my job for 2 years back then, now i've been there for 7. Tempus fugit I guess.

same place i was at in '08, creating ads for newspapers... i've actually been here since '02... but, my job security seems to be more in jeopardy these days than it was in '08, thanks to the rapidly growing internet...

Let's see... April of '08. Holy shit I've been here 2 years. That's fucking insane given that I joined solely to find out when GTA IV came out, nothing more.
Hmm.. I was 17 and a month from graduation. My whole life was about to begin. I was working at Papa John's from then until I quit in January. Well, now I just party and play my drums as much as possible, trying to progress with my band. No, that's not how I want to live forever but I've been constantly trying to get a job for 6 months now with no luck. So... I guess I'll just live it up for now. I'm pretty lucky when it comes to getting free weed and booze. I'm just gonna keep applying and hope for the best. And no, I still don't regret quitting my job at all. It's been a fun 6 months. I've been here for a while, I'm not exactly sure how long but I know I was in middle school back in Summer of either 2003 or 2004, when I played Vice City and just wanted to join a forum to discuss VC and get hyped for San Andreas.
Now I'm about to start my third year of college ... I know I went from some lurker who posted rarely/occasionally, then I started just spamming/trolling by posting topic related pictures (in the Asylum of course), then found a niche in the State the Obvious game where I "met" people like Nanook and CowPig and SoW and etc., and I won FML almost one time so I guess I was popular, but then I guess now I've gone back to lurking and posting occasionally.
