So I've recently had some problems with the noise of the fan on the ps3. it sounds like a hairdryer.

I had advice elsewhere to replace the thermal paste on the CPU and GPU, done that but its still loud. I dont think the room is really hot, not really warm enough to force the fan to hit a higher speed. Ive had it for a few years and never had the problem before, so anyone, help me please.

If anyone has any ideas on what could be causing it and what I can do to fix it, It would be great smile.gif

oh and by the way, its a 40gb PAL version

yes marney, the thread was on the old forums, so its not possible to re-open it.

I tried some of the options on there but I dont understand why its doin this again, but thank you for pointing that out marney.
