So, I have about 30 some-odd hours in TBoGT, and over this time I had accumulated about $300,000 mainly doing the drug wars... as I thought this was the best source of income... although just the other day, I managed to boost my total money from 300g's to 38 million in about an hour or two...

I know there is nothing to spend any money on, but for those of you who want to have a large bank account, there is no better way to make money than by betting on fights...

you tend to make about 3:1 payout on most fights, sometimes higher, rarely lower... that means you just have to win 1 out of 3 bets to break even...

I was betting about 1 million and winning about 4 million per fight for a while...

Also, it appears the fighters are not random NPC's... meaning you can remember specific fighters and their fighting styles time and time again...

I just used to reload the game if I lost.

You ain't bullshitting mang.
I am making bank on these fights. 100 grand and counting.
Makes it so I dont have to go for ammo spawns, can just buy
whatever I don't already have as far as ammo count at max.

Also it's fairly easy to see when to back the money down on a bet.
Thanks for the heads up.

I see no point in amassing $$$ since there's nothing to spend it on. There aren't any clothes to buy in TBOGT, and I can afford all the weapons and all the food LC has to offer with money made from missions.

True but the cash helps out when buying ammo.
Usually I use spawns, this time the coin has helped.
Especially after missions and the drug wars.

Now to find out just *when* the weapons spawn at the safe house.
It is obviously story line mission based as I am at about 30+ drug wars,
with only the .44 spawning at the safe house.

I also just noticed, Luis gets money after the club management missions.
(Only involving external activity - leaving the club for errands)

Double check on that - a new weapon spawns at Luis's house after each 10 drug wars are completed. At 30+ you should have 3 of them (one being a parachute, so actually 2).

I check all the time, and love that apartment. Only have the .44 currently.

My problem this game is the mission progression.
Once I've progressed further, the rewards will start to spawn.
Just don't know *which* missions. But yeah I should have 3 rewards by now.
The drug wars seem to be really fun for me, the missions are hard. L0L

From the main page here:
Drug Wars
10 Drug Wars completed - .44 delivered to safehouse.
20 Drug Wars completed - Advanced MG delivered to safehouse.
30 Drug Wars completed - Explosive Shotgun delivered to safehouse.
40 Drug Wars completed - Sticky Bombs delivered to safehouse.
50 Drug Wars completed - Gold SMG delivered to safehouse.

Yeah, some missions in TBOGT are pretty hard compared to TLAD story missions, but on the whole they're not too complicated, either - once you find out the proper strategy to accomplish their goals.

Oh, I didn't know that weapons spawn after completing given number of drug wars only if they have been unlocked in the storyline, but that sounds plausible. On the other hand, I had problems locating weapons in Luis's apartment, they melt with the furniture/background. Apparently the parachute is unlocked through one of main storyline missions not through drug wars.

apart from this thread being 8 months old...
this "trick" to make money really shows (again) how IV is not ment to be the rags to riches thing, since it takes ages to bet bigger money with a betting-speed of approximately $1500/s | $5.4million/hr.
now do the maths for, in my case, currently $15.4million that I'm trying to bet right now (good thing you can block the stick so I don't have to push it all the time or even be at place), although I'm still trying to figure out if there's max wager. But even if it's capped like it was in SA (I think it was 9.999.990) it would take almost 2 hrs to enter this bet.
