Dan says I'm not allowed here but I'm just curious to know how much you have to pay each month for internet access for the XBox. There's silver account and gold account isn't there? What does gold give you that silver doesn't?

Gold allows you to play online, that's the only difference I can think of. I'm not sure how much it costs since it's been so long since I've had gold.

Hmm. I suppose it makes sense to charge for it, but I don't really think it's necessary.

They aren't going to stop charging, but Sony is rolling out a premium PSN service which I'm expecting will have all the new features they ever bring out to get more people to pay out for it. I expect they'll keep the actual online gaming part free though since that's its major selling point.
