Not being a fan boy of the PSP but why in the hell did R* put this game on the DS and not the PSP first? I’m just a little confused.

Probably because there are no GTA games on a Nintendo console. They probably wanted to see if it would be successful on a new market. either way, it isn't a big deal. The port was seen a long ways away.

From what I understand they did the DS first because if they were starting on the PSP then moving to DS then people would complain about the gaming being downgraded in a port...instead now people are talking about the game being improved in a port. Make Rockstar look better overall.

My guess is they did it to expand the GTA franchise to a console/device they hadn't used before, similar to when they release it on iPhone soon. I doubt they made it on DS because it was going to be the crapper version and they knew the PSP one would be better, they wanted the different style of gameplay the DS involves, and I think they only brought it to PSP because the sales were pretty poor on the DS version, even though it's the best selling DS game ever. It is actually an awesome game on the DS though.

Didn't Nintendo make proposal to them at making a GTA-game for their console because they wanted get rid off their childless image among gamers since they've always made games like Super Mario, Zelda and stuff which have not necessarily appealead to gamers whom play games like Grand Theft Auto.
