Anybody still watch it? I used to watch WWE when I was young, but I went off of it cause of the crap storylines around 2001-2002.

I've started watching TNA on Bravo recently, I have a 50/50 opinion of it, on one hand the major storylines are pretty crap and repetitive. Some of them make me laugh in their stupidity. On the other hand there's the X-division, some of those high-flying matches impressed me, the co-ordination between the wrestlers performing the moves makes it seem genuine, even though it isn't (which I know, i'm not a fucking noob.)

I like the performance of the wrestling in TNA, even though they can't write a script for shit. I'm about done with WWE (the programming, anyway), it's just getting sad.

Is anyone else sick of DX being brought back? I know they were the only original members, but I wasn't entertained until the others joined during the attitude era.

Wrestling is gay; IMO.

Same recycled storylines; character models; blah blah blah. It's soap operas for men with fake fighting; bad acting and horrible costumes.

I used to watch wrestling a lot when I was a kid. But as soon as I began to realize that it's all scripted/pre-determined, I lost interest. I'm all for competitive sports, and as I grew up it became more clear to me that WWE isn't a sport. It's just a simulated circus show, that's all it is. I wouldn't mind the stupid storylines they have on offer but the fact everyone already knows who the winner is before the fighting begins is what puts me off. It's one gigantic TV show, which brings me to my point. I'd rather watch American Gladiators than WWE since the competition in that game show is real and not staged or fixed.

EDIT: Now if we’re talking about wrestling, as a real sport, then I’m a big fan of it, especially Collegiate Wrestling and Freestyle/Olympic wrestling, which is basically the international discipline practiced worldwide. It’s competitive, the outcomes of the matches aren’t predetermined, it’s not a ‘sports entertainment’ or ‘simulation’, and it’s 100% real.

I can see where you're coming from. I mean, if WWE wasn't staged or pre-determined, I might understand why people would want to watch it, due to its competitive nature. But since it's fake in the first place, you're simply watching a group of guys fondling each other, as you said.

Now real wrestling, on the other hand, is a wonderful experience. I love watching women's College or Olympic wrestling. The competition is real, the outcomes are real, and the skills some of these women have are extremely amazing.

I personally think Legacy is the best team ever in wrestling. They are the only thing that keeps me watching Raw. SD, is the best show at the moment and ECW was good until Vince drafted everyone about again for the 2nd time in a year.

DURR HURR FAKE FIGHTING I WANT TO SEE MENS HEADS GET BASHED FOR REAL IN BECUZ DATS MANLY

or

DURR HURR WRESTLING ISN'T COOL SO I DON'T WATCH IT BECAUSE BADASSES LIKE ME DON'T WATCH FAEK SHIT

When you realize MMA is way more gay and people would rather watch that because it's real makes it no better.

Also you need to learn how to appreciate it. This "fake fighting" has cost people major injuries. Stone Cold Steve Austin had his neck broken after taking a piledriver because it wasn't done perfectly, this guy called "Droz" is now a paraplegic because D'lo Brown fucked up a powerbomb. It takes a lot of skill to pull off these "fake moves" and knowing wrestling is fake and watching WWE for the storylines is like playing pokemon or watching porn for the story.

Yeah, the matches are scripted so that one person will definitely win the fight, but the wrestlers can make their own choice as to what they actually do in the ring to an extent. That's why you hear them muttering to each other sometimes, they're planning their moves.

Some of the more stupid storylines involve a referee making a silly mistake or allowing a chair shot while his back is turned. But in reality you'd just go and check on the playback monitor to see what really happened and DQ the other person, pity they've overlooked that fact. laugh.gif

Watch SmackDown

Their storylines aren't stupid. Any storyline involving CM Punk or Chris Jericho is 100% win. Smackdown comes on tonight at 8:00 EST on MyNetwork TV.

There's this guy with a fucking giant beard who's like an evil genius and talks in verbose, it's awesome.

Not all life is about competition. I enjoy the way the X division tie moves together is an aesthetic fashion. It is much like a circus meeting the fight choreography in a movie. The statement of yours I bolded suggests one can't enjoy a fight scene in a movie because it isn't real.

I am tired of the wrestling haters. I don't watch it near as much as I used too but I still like it. I know a LOT about the wrestling industry. I also sick of people thinking it's a rickless job. They get hurt all the time. And but on their show 3-5 times a week. They are in different cities everyday away from their families. There is no off season for these guys. There is no training camps were they can settle in like MMA. It's a hard fucking job and not many people have the balls to do it.

That being said, I don't like WWE. Their wrestlers don't push it hard enough. They take it easy.

I enjoy the actual wrestling in TNA, but the story lines are painful. Don't even get me started on the promos they cut. Also, Suicide? Come on. I am a big fan of Daniels, though. Nothing instils fear in the opponent like the name Daniels.

I occasionally watch Smackdown, but I've lost a lot of interest in WWE since Jeff Hardy quit. Also, WWE matches seem to be the same match every week. Smackdown usually goes Finlay/Knox, Kane/Khali (seriously, they are the most boring matches ever, Kane is well past his prime) Cm Punk comes out and says the same thing every week, Cryme Tyme/Jericho & Big show follows, and the main event is usually CM Punk winning by DQ somehow. They really need to come up with some new feuds. Also, I'm fucking sick of Cena/Orton every goddamn week on Raw.

To Conquested: a straight man can easily watch it, as long as he's comfortable in his sexuality and isn't a homophobic moron, as you seem to be.

Jeff Hardy was fucking horrible on the mic and only knew how to jump off high shit and wear colorful clothing, he got busted for cocaine like a week or so after he quit. John Morrison is way more talented I suggest you watch Smackdown for him.

Like Jeff Hardy was worse than John Cena.
