Anyone getting this? It's supposed to released around christmas. There was a trailer released some time ago showing the new collision damage.

I dunno what to get. Forza for my xbox, or GT for my PS3. They both seem the same, and im leaning towards the xbox as I prefer the controller.

gt5 looks epic. for the amount of time its taken, it should be. but im not goin to rush out like ppl have said. price drop first please. i still feel dirty for paying £25 for prologue.

I'd say two? Possibly three. I think it may have been one of the debut titles that they were pushing for people to get the PS3 on release.

this was meant to be a launch title, but it didnt happen. someone told me that they rebuilt the game as they were unhappy with it the first time. whatever way you look at it, its taken too long. i hope it is as good as its meant to be.

Agreed. I have been waiting for this game for several years. When they released Prologue I was simply confused. This may be the excuse I've been waiting for to buy a PS3.

Not really, the game that was supposed to be launched long ago was Vision Gran Turismo, a game that would come with just a few cars and you would have to pay for new cars... I'm definitely considering to purchase Gran Turismo 5. It's the best car driving simulator in the market so far, although I would also save my money on Test Drive Unlimited II, once it is announced.

I've always enjoyed track racing and collecting my cash up from won races to buy better and more powerful cars. Gran Turismo is the best in terms of tracks and vehicles. They always have a massive selection of cars, and the tracks look almost exactly the same as the real thing. I love the new in-car view. I spent my time on GT5-P driving with the in-car view.

Spent far too long playing the previous titles on friends' consoles so will certainly end up playing this at some point. the problem I see is that Forza has really stepped up and I just can't help but think Polyphony et al may have been resting on their laurels and tweaking it beyond goodness... as the game creator said in June "We've actually reached a point where we can probably release it anytime, except that you can also keep working as long as you want to as well"
As long as it's not just a shinier GT4 I'll be happy.  |

My small dilemma with the GT games: I always produced faster lap times driving in the cockpit view, but I enjoyed driving in the behind-car view (looked better)
