well, i can only view a few gaming websites here at work (damn DNS blocker) but, rumor has it that they announced a NEW metal gear game coming out, exclusively for the xbox360... however, it will not feature solid snake... but, it sounds like 360 fanboys will finally get a chance to live and breath in the world of metal gear... luckily for you, hideo kojima can't turn down a truckload of money either laugh.gif...

also, something about a virtual eyetoy like thing called "project natal" that appears to be much more interactive, reading body movements and voice commands... i guess it's like talking to an AI person... kinda lame if you ask me unless they can find a way to implement it into some games where you can actually control the character on the screen with how you move or position yourself... could be something bigger than the wii if this is something they plan to use for games... i could easily imagine playing some shooters or racing games with this feature... but, who knows where they're going with this...

other than that, a new forza game, left 4 dead 2, a couple of new halo's (lol, this generations madden franchise laugh.gif), and some more stuff on this alan wake game... kinda of lackluster IMO... the only real thing that could really really interest the gaming community is that "project natal" thingy...

EDIT: this was obviously microsoft's press conference information in case some of you were too stupid to figure that out laugh.gif... might of missed some of the other information they announced but hey, oh well...

QUOTE (Massacre @ Mar 15 2011, 01:24 AM) *
Oh, good one. The "you're on the internet so you must have no life" insult isn't moronic or unoriginal at all. You must, without a doubt, be a very important member of society, not at all a waste of the already barely valuable gift of life.

As is the case for everyone who takes issue with people who make them sad on the internet, you are one of two kinds of people:

You are exactly what you claim I am, and that is a lonely, pathetic basement dweller. You life is spent eating eight pounds of junk food per day, masturbating to anything you find online that's even remotely feminine, and wishing you had good looks and social skills. You continue to live with your mother until she dies of a combination of lung cancer and liver failure brought on by the chain-smoking and heavy drinking she used to cope with what a failure you are. Your mother mercifully dead and free of the living embodiment of failure she regretfully thrust from her loins, the bills start to pile up and you, unemployed and unable to pay these bills (of course), lose the house and everything in it. Somehow even more of a failure than you already were, you wander from place to place eating out of dumpsters and sleeping in your own filth until you finally die of AIDS, which you contracted from a diseased whore you scrounged up enough money to pay for, so you could finally lose your virginity while at the same time pretending that your mother was back in your life.

Or:

You are the type who was an athlete in high school, who was genetically doomed to be an idiot but managed to finish school and even get a college scholarship because you were so good at a worthless children's game. You went off to college with a suitcase full of polo shirts and condoms, the polo shirts, because you're a douche, and the condoms to prevent you from impregnating the dim-witted young college girls whom you could never touch without the aid of Rohypnol, a drug you refer to as "roofies" because you can neither spell or pronounce Rohypnol. You scrape by with borderline D's for the next four years, and leave the campus to go out into the real world where your realize you're not intelligent or talented enough to do anything of value with your life. Misery and minimum wage ensues for thirty years, then you blow your brains out, and your corpse, alone and forgotten, is not discovered until the smell of rotting flesh seeps under your door and your bodily fluids finally soak through the floor of your studio apartment and into the room below you. Your body is cremated, the ashes scraped into a garbage bin because there was no one in your life who valued you enough to pay for a casket, funeral, or burial plot.

You're undoubtedly one of the two, otherwise you would have better things to do than complain about the theme of a forum that doesn't care about anything you have to say.

Nah, wasn't lacklustre at all.

The new Splinter Cell looks amazing, as well as the new Forza. MGS on the 360 is big big news as that was one of the PS3's biggest exclusives, and it'll be interesting to see what they're going to come up with when their time comes.

There's a write up of what happened on my site if anyone wants a slightly more indepth look at what happened tonight.

???

Its a different game... MGS4 is still an exclusive, if you are talking about the franchise, then it has NEVER been a sony exclusive. Remember that game Metal Gear game for the GameCube just a few years back?

No I don't.

MGS is one of the main reasons for buying a PS3, because of its exclusivity, obviously, but now that the 360 has MGS, regardless of whether it's MGS4 or not, that incentive for buying a PS3 for MGS is lost since there will be a (most likely) bigger & better one out on the 360.

They never said it was exclusive. They announced their exclusive games then revealed this one. Leads me to believe that it's multi-plat. I hope anyways. Hope that Konami aren't jews bags like R*. Multi-plat MGS sounds good to me. I only hope it doesn't limit the game in any way because of the capabilities of the 360 compared to the PS3. Wouldn't want a downgrade from MGS 4.

edit

And its not MGS4. Its called MGS Rising. You play Raiden.

Vid? You mean the flashes of Jap art and a three second pan over his face? Yeah, I've already been disappointed by that one once today, I'll wait for a real trailer.

Project Natal looks fucking stupid. I'd feel like a prick waving my body around, alone, in my room.
Modern Warfare 2 looks just like COD4. I bet there aren't many sequences similar to that snowmobile one.
If the Assassin's Creed 2 gameplay is anything like the trailer, then it should be pretty decent.
Looking forward to Crackdown 2. The original was brilliant.
Forza 3 looks incredible but I get the feeling GT5 will be way better.

And that's pretty much all I care about. NFS Shift will be the same old shit no matter what anyone tells us beforehand.

OMFG the Assassins Creed 2 Trailer was FUCKING AWESOME. The cinematics were graphicaly Mind blowing. But the game seems like it will be much better set in Venice.

Was that a Gun Altair had at the end? some sort of old mini cannon ball type gun.

Can't wat to see what else will come out of this years E3.

yea, i read a huge article on assassin's creed about a month ago... and yes, there will be some very interesting contraptions... like a flying machine for instance laugh.gif... i guess this version of altiar (forgot the new characters name) is a good friend of da vinci so, we're gonna see some of da vinci's creations come to life in AC2... he's also gonna have the ability to swim as well, creating more stealthier ways to eliminate the enemy or hide from the enemy... also, enemies will check hiding places now as well... if they think your there, they'll stab wildly into the stack of hay to kill you...

EDIT: yes, "metal gear solid: rising" is for both systems... so, you'll never get the chance to play MGS4 but, the franchise is now available on both systems... i am sure microsoft tried to buy them away from sony but, they pry saw it as a chance to gain additional revenue by having it for both systems... however, your not getting the real MGS experience... you'll have to buy a PS3 my friends if you want that...
QUOTE
you can expect a straight-up action title along the lines of Devil May Cry, with little to no stealth elements. They're calling it "Lightning Bolt Action" rather than "Stealth Espionage Action,"

Nintendo's conference was diabolical. And if Sony announce a HUUUUUUGE price drop on the PS3 (either because they're nice or because they're making way for a slim PS3) I'll be tempted to pick one up.

Nintendo failed, as always. Fingers crossed on the PS3 price drop, though.

Yet Wii's sell the best. Well, E3 is more for hardcore gamers anyways.

a price drop is highly unlikely... i am expecting a price drop to be announced around the holiday season, not at E3...

ahh nintendo... they are doing so damn well that, there's no need to show off anything revolutionary... they're on cruise control right now, sales are doing extremely well and, there's no sign of it slowing down... i'd imagine they'll be like this for another year or two, before they announce their next big system...
