If you never played it, buy SKATE. In some ways I think it was better, and also its cheaper.

Those ways are?

better spots to ride where you don't have to pay for them, such as the school.

What do you mean by not having to pay for them?

The School is an add-on on Skate 2. DLC.

General Story, fluidity of the game, the challenges are better and more fun, better spots to ride where you don't have to pay for them, such as the school. And a better Big Air ramp

Story was better. Challenges aren't more fun. Spots aren't better. I agree about the paying for old spots. Its lame. Im not getting them until they are bundled together for a lower price.

I was playing it Analog again. Got some good replays. We are both better at the game. I got pissed at him though cause I was waiting for him to return to the session marker to try the line again and he just skates around like a tard while I stand there doing nothing. And since that was happening everytime....

Personal preference on the spots and challenges though really. Don't think if you have played either game then theres no justification for the extra 15-20.

Tescos are selling it for 25 quid at the moment but they never seem to have to have it in stock. My PKR winnings are just getting to be spent.

Skate 2 is badass. Possibly the most realistic game I have ever played. It's not totally realistic, no game is. But the base gameplay of Skate 2 (which is skateboarding, duh) is more realistic then any game of any genre I have ever played.

With that said, this game is also very challenging for CASUAL gamers. If you aren't a hardcore skater, be prepared to put hit the retry function over and over on some missions. There are also three or four missions that are litterly impossible to do unless you glitch, or the AI is having a bad day.

Doing something such as a kickflip or pop shove it in a S.K.A.T.E. challenge is easy, but when you are asked to move the analog litterly 10 degrees in on direction to perform a varial kickflip or a laser flip the game becomes nearly impossible. An example of this is the 'Can you spell girl' mission. Unless you glitch or the AI does easy moves, there is a very little chance you will pass this mission without ripping out your hair.

Other then the annoying difficulty, I did manage to beat the entire single player. The graphics are superb, especially when it comes to your skater. There is lots of slow down in some areas though. Sometime the game will start lagging for a couple of seconds which isn't really noticeable because the general frame rate is not great to begin with.

The skating physics are fantastic, a lot of work has been obviously devoted to make this game as realistic as possible.

The game does suffer from yet another shitty EA sound track, it is much better to just turn down the in game music and listen to your own on the 360 while playing. The crashing physicals also aren't anything like Euphoria. However they are comical and hilarious.

This game gets a 9/10 from me. It is a must have for any skater, and you may also want to check it out if you appreciate great game design.

Glad ya like it biggrin.gif I agree with the difficulty. I'm pretty damn good at the game, but when it comes to being told what trick to do, I'm worthless. I haven't done any of those. Good review though!

When I want to said laser flip just skating around I can pretty much do it every time. But when its in a game of skate I barely ever get it. I guess its the pressure of the thing. Can you spell GIRL is impossible without glitching. The only other one I had to glitch was the fucking handplant on that backboard. That was retarded.
