Nas' new album leaked this week. Let's hear your thoughts on the album.

A few tracks:

N.I.G.G.E.R. (The Slave And The Master)

Breathe

Testify

Untitled is damn near unskippable. The lyrical content is there as always, but the beat choice, unlike in his last two albums, is almost as good as the lyrical content.

I'll write a review in the near future.

The tracks are alright, I might check this one out. Never been a massive Nas fan, either.

This is a damn good album, his lyrics are still some of the best in hip hop. They actually make me want to hit the rewind button and listen again.

Some of my favorite lines-

"He looked at my Mercedes and called it a Nazi Sled"

"The only Foxx I love is the Redd one, the only black man Fox loves is in jail or a dead one"

"I just burnt my American flag, and sent 3 cracka Nazi's to hell and I'm sad"

"The pestilence of the ghetto informed me, as a shorty, to push nothin' less than a 740"

As far as beats go, they go excellently along with his song topics and lyrics. The way the cd flows, you don't hear that much anymore in hip hop. A couple of the beats were skippable in my opinion, but I'm picky about what beats I listen to.
Overall, this is one of the best cd's of the year. Much more lyrical than Carter 3, much more real than that "I'm the prison guard that you've seen thus far" Trilla album, and basically shits all over that G Unit album.

No need for so much praise, I mean.

Carter 3 is something you just need to fall back and listen to... Nas' shit has so much fucking lyricism people make jokes about him having a dictionary and encyclopedia next to him when he writes his songs.

I haven't peeped this album yet though because I heard it's nowhere near the status of Illmatic or Stillmatic, not only that but if he feels like he needs to pull bullshit like this to sell records then I'm not gonna buy into it.

What is his next album gonna be? Probably something like this...

"Controversial title, buy my album to hear all the controversial bullshit I'm going to rap about". No doubt, he's a great rapper... I just don't like how he's going about his career right now.

The thing is, if Nas tried to come out with another Illmatic, people would just say he's not being original, or current, or w/e... I like what he's doing with his music though, he drops a lot of knowledge that people wouldn't normally hear in rap music. He does spit like he keeps a dictionary on him tho lol.

The album is sick, the beats aren't exceptional but the lyrics are.

PS. I love fried chicken.

What's the problem, he's hitting intellectual topics, in an intellectual way?

It's great, don't know what Ruger's talking about. All this "controversial bullshit" is a great thing to have in the mainstream during a time such as this.
