Keeping up with their daily articles this week, IGN has posted their Thursday article detailing the pitfalls and benefits of the friend system. Definately worth checking it out!
![]() "Your friends have many attractive traits, like an affinity to firearms and a willingness to commit crimes." QUOTE The moment Niko arrives in Liberty City he is met by his cousin, Roman. This crucial relationship is just one of many you will develop while playing GTA IV. These friendships -- either with the rough and tumble men of the city or its lovely ladies -- evolve initially through the story. But it's your decision whether or not to pursue these friendships beyond the story missions. You and Packie McCreary can have a cold association with one another, but money will still ultimately bring you together. But should you go the extra mile and make Packie your confidant, you'll reap the benefits. Source: IGNAlso, be on the look out tomorrow for our exclusive Hands On preview of our own! -------------------- ![]() Add Me on MySpace if you're so inclined... QUOTE (Heartless on GTA4.TV) Unlike the mainstream forums, we're gritty, crazy sociopaths. And still approved by Rockstar. Most GTA Sites cater to a younger, softer audience (Zidane?), as opposed to this forum, which caters to bi-polar grandmothers with too many cats (Pyro?). |

Strip clubs, pool, bowling, the pub, caberet shows, comedy clubs...I WANT NOW!
BUT, it's kinda gay how you can;t choose how much you drink...like i'd like to get someone drunk but be sober myself so i can kill them while they stumble about haha. but then again, how many people go to a bar and watch a friend drink by themselves? and AHA! if you can put car bombs in trunks then the trunk feature is definitly in. -------------------- =The Technician= Since 24.03.08 |

So basically, it's copying the Saints Row Homie system?
(when i say that i mean the ones that you call up from your cell phone) This post has been edited by Francis McReary: Apr 25 2008, 12:57 PM -------------------- ![]() |

(when i say that i mean the ones that you call up from your cell phone) From the looks of it, not really. In Saints Row you call up a Homie they just drive up to you and fight with you like a normal gang member. In GTA IV you call up your friends and go out drinking...or perhaps bowing...or play darts. Then after being friends with them long enough you can use their special features like Brucie's helicopter rides. GTA IV's friendship system sounds a lot more fun and useful then Saints Row's Homie system. -------------------- If it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't.
