It seems the infamous countdown that made GTAers cringe with anticipation is now...infamous.
 Electronic Arts has released a countdown splash page for their upcoming Simpsons game. Complete with mock GTAIV-style "XXII" heading, yellow background, and the Groening font that is associated with the TV show. After the counter hits 0 next Wednesday, expect to see an announcement or a trailer (probaly done like GTA4, god forbid.) of some kind. Another spoof was featured on Sky Sports this past week. Supposedly advertising something for the Premiere League. You can check that out including a screen capture here. However, the spoofing does not stop there. The animated series King Of The Hill aired an episode appropriately titled "Grand Theft Arlen". In the episode, Hank Hill becomes obsessed with a GTA-knockoff entitled "Pro-Pain" which stars Hank Hill himself. I haven't seen the episode (unfortunately) but from the brief plot description, it looks like a hilarious premise. --------------------  Add Me on MySpace if you're so inclined... The countdown is really shit quality, it flickers every couple of seconds. It wouldn't be too bad if it flickers all the time or not at all, but when it is inconsistent like that then it's pretty bad.
