FYI, this tutorial is for a little more advanced users that know how to crop, cut, etc with photoshop.

I have been seeing alot of sigs lately with dark backgrounds and the annoying purple GTA IV guy. This annoys the hell out of me because you can make your sig ALOT better if you just follow these easy steps. If you are not using photoshop, then look around in your menu and you should find something that does basically the same thing as this.

We are going to go from this:

In about 2 minutes.

First open photoshop. Choose a background. I am using the nice sunset one.

Take the GTA IV purple man, and use the extract tool/lasso tool/magic wand to select the white background around him. Push delete to make it transparent. Then drag him onto your sunset.

Now you should have two layers on your sunset. The background and the man. Select the man layer and resize him, do what ever you want to him.

All you have to do now is, go to IMAGE>>Adjustments and then select Auto everything(Auto levels, Auto color, Auto contrast) if you are lazy, and you are done. If you want to customize it, don't use auto, but it is important that you do all three.

Now, doesn't that look a whole lot better? I wipped mine up in about 1 minute but if you take your time, you can have endless possibilities with photoshop.
