The November edition of Edge Magazine contains a few small pieces of new information on San Andreas, as well as a few new screenshots which haven't been shown before.

Beneath the water's surface lie dolphins, turtles, schools of fish and more. Lead character CJ can now swim, although getting hold of a boat is a more sensible option when it comes to getting around.
  • Alongside the marine wildlife which will be seen below the water surface, flocks of birds will be seen flying across the sky above San Andreas.
  • The tires of the BMX and possibly other bicycles will make a humming sound as they move across the tarmac, similar to real life.
  • Rough weather will appear in San Andreas, possibly like the weather conditions seen in previous games which include thunder and lightning storms.
  • The clouds are no longer just textures which move across the sky, but are actual 3D objects which can be flown through. This is shown on the Mouth Chiliad video on the Official Site.
  • In order to find bonus powerups and hidden packages, you will have to climb on objects such as cars in order to get to otherwise inaccessible areas.
The new screenshots in the magazine show such things as the Gant Bridge, CJ driving a motorbike over the bridge with the Kincaid railway bridge in the background and a hippy standing in front of his van. You can find scans or screenshots on the web, however we don't post these anymore, so try checking some of the sites in our affiliates section.

in vice city, didnt the rain effect some of the driving? long story short if it did, cool, but it will be so much more of a rpg than the old gta games and i cannot wait

Hey guys. I wanted to see if anyone could answer this....

In the lastest Offical Playstation issue(US) on the monthly gameing callendar it showed San andreas being shipped out on the 18th. It also said, the wait is over! go and pick it up at midnight and take the week off! Now, i know that that isn't the correct release date as of what i've seen. But think it's a typo or what? It had been the 26th for a while.

I havent checked the website for a typo notice or anything yet. But i will soon. Feel free to correct what i saw if anyone knows anything.
