Rockstar have announced that GTA is going to be released on XBox 360 before Playstation 3, in a reversal of trends over the previous generation. The game will be available on the 360 on the 16th of October 2007 in North America, and the 19th in Europe, and it has yet to be made clear when the PS3 titles will follow. Rockstar have also signed a contract promising to provide "episodic content" to XBox Live users, and have not limited themselves to the GTA franchise.

Check out the website
http://rockstargames.com/grandtheftauto4/ thereis clearly a playstaion 3 logo at the bottom, so im guessing it will be a release title in november for ps3

Yeah it's still there.

From the Gamespot Article: "UPDATE] At its pre-E3 press conference, Microsoft confirmed that the next Grand Theft Auto is coming to the Xbox 360 in October of next year. In an official announcement, Rockstar Games confirmed simultaneous launch on PS3." As hhhercules_23 said,it's a simultaneous launch on both platforms.  |

yeah everywhere on sites, they were saying xbox 360 exclusive, yatayata. At that moment i was like,
well 360 it is for me. Now i say ill go with the ps3, but damn, that price... anyways i hope we get some more info on gta 4.

They didn't actually say it would be X-Box 360 exclusive,they said it would contain exclusive material for X-Box 360.They just worded it in a way that made it sound as if the game itself would be exclusive X-Box 360.

Yeah, I'm wondering if it was planned in this way, to get publicity on Rockstars part, and of course for 360 and PS3.... or maybe Gamespot even played a part in doing this..
Obviously there's gunna be some publicity, but this one had like scandal, and had the fanboys in shock, surely this kinda publicity is worth more. -------------------- |
